@**ToyDemon** The increased prices has made me more hesitant to make purchases on non-essential items. While it would be nice to have those new toys, I just don't feel comfortable spending extra to get it ASAP. If I've waited so long for something already, a few more months is no big deal.

@**ToyDemon** Honestly, I have gotten to the very edge where I was ready to hastily make a purchase or pre-order as soon as the product launch was announced, but somehow I've been able to pull myself back away from the precipice. The existence of resellers, who snatch away a normal buyers chances at regular prices, unfortunately don't make things any easier. But, I've made a choice to wait until the buying frenzy dies down on many things. When, shortages first began, I did panic buy for a little while, but that led to a lot of buyer's remorse.

@**ToyDemon** Yes this new time we live in has indeed changed my behavior in shopping because if there are items that interest me and are at risk of selling out very quickly, I am more likely to impulse buy it. Part of the reason is because the wait time for another chance to purchase the item in question may be undetermined and may take an extended period of time after which I may have no use for the item. The other part is the fact that since the item will have sold out, there is a joy in owning a limited item just like how sneakerheads may enjoy the fact that they are able to get their hands on multiple limited-release sneakers.
An item that I have tried to pre-order as soon as possible was indeed the exemplified Steam Deck. Even though the average consumer does not know much about it, I am sure there are many that tried to buy it because of the hype building up around it.
This whole change in shopping behavior can also be reflected in the purchases I have made on ToyDemon. For example, the Tomax Real Regular just came back in stock with the Silky Lube that has been out of stock for months now and I have decided to buy these items ASAP knowing that they will just go out of stock in a couple of days.

@**ToyDemon** Even before the pandemic I would spend my money frugally, trying to find the best deals and whatnot (I came here after comparing prices from OtonaJP). I wouldn't mind too much if the things I bought were around MSRP; anything above 1.5x MSRP is a whole other matter entirely though. I planned to upgrade my PC in 2020 and that went to the backlog quite fast, same with buying the next-gen consoles. I don't see myself going on a spending spree until maybe late next year when prices normalize.
CandyWAP ( 13 )
@**ToyDemon** The increased prices have not affected me. The Steam Deck does look amazing. I only have a 2011 macbook air and would like to get a portable pc, like the steam deck, someday.
I am pretty frugal and would not pre-order anything until reviews are posted. Also pretty depressed; buying things and not feeling joy from them decreases the likelihood I will buy them.

I don't think that low availability for certain products such as a game console or a hardware have had an affect on my shopping behavior in these recent months. I don't really preorder anything unless it is something that I really want despite shortages and this includes onaholes as well. There was a time during the pandemic when a particular shampoo that I regularly buy have gone out of stock so the next time it restocked I bought multiple amounts of that shampoo. Although I felt guilty doing that, I don't condone people taking advantage of shortages by reselling items for a higher value when they themselves don't need it. It sucks for a lot of people who are wanting a particular item and they can't get them due to folks hoarding it when they need it more than resellers.

it is annoying seeing the onaholes i want always being sold out.
that's why i use the email notifier for the ones i want when they come back in stock. i've actually purchased a few this way.
I don't see a problem with someone buying 6 tomax sleeves as long as they are different sleeves. if they're buying 6+ of the same sleeve then thats disappointing to see. it's like the toilet paper issue when the covid mania started.

I wish there was another option that simply says "No, I buy everything just the same," because for the most part I do. The things I usually buy are not things that have been going out of stock or being scalped, and if they were, it was an issue before the pandemic anyways.
A lot of the purchases I make are pre-orders, so the pandemic hasn't really changed that. I still pre-order, and pre-order prices are not affected by the pandemic.
Otherwise, there are some things that I am waiting for stock and prices to return to normal. I would have loved to upgrade my PC, and that market definitely seems to be the worst off, so far. I will be waiting at least another year for those upgrades.

@**ToyDemon** I am on a limited budget, but I still purchase items when I desire. However, this limited budget means that I have to purchase items at MSRP. This is forcing me to wait for an item to be in stock so I can grab the best possible price. These shortages are horrible right now and I can't wait for things to go back to normal! Maybe unrelated, but I am tired of scalpers as well :(

@**ToyDemon** I have been buying less and been more patient since the pandemic. Definitely waiting on buying a new graphics card cause the prices are insane right now. I do order online a lot more than usual, I mean the only time I go to the store these days for anything but necessities is to go buy weed at the dispensery. I haven't wanted to pre-order anything but if I did I might panic buy a little lol.

@**ToyDemon** I know other people who have just forked over $2600 for an rtx 3090 or something, and I honestly don't understand that behavior. It's absolutely baffling to me. My spending habits haven't changed over the pandemic. If something is being sold for 5-6x it's standard MSRP, I just won't buy it, simple as that.

Yeah, now I buy fewer things. I wanted to get a PS5 or new PC parts for the rig I built in 2016, but couldn't get either one for a good price so I just didn't bother. The Stimmy was just extra money for me to buy whatever I wanted, but what happened is that even with the money I couldn't get the things I wanted. I have about half of that money left after buying a bunch of smaller things here and there. Like, I bought FFXIV Endwalker and a 180 month sub. A few purchases like that have made it more even more unlikely that I'll get a PS5 or new pc parts even when I can just get them for the MSRP.

For me personally, I think I've become more savvy as time goes on, after making bad purchases and impulsive purchases. A lot of things I feel if they're not necessity can wait or (should be done after beating one out XD) especially if the current review of the item itself isn't out yet. Or you choose to ignore red flags due to the in the moment impulse.
For example the new Steam Deck, it's not out yet, there's no announcement of exclusive games or how thorough the support will be for games. Valve themselves don't have a good track record on release products with adequate support. Overall it's doesn't seem worth, and might be a dead console in a few months. This ties in similarly to all the preordering backlash over many underdelivering games.

@**ToyDemon** It is my rule of thumb to never buy things when they come out immediately if it is related to entertainment technology. Chances are that these things will have bugs that will not be working out until a month or two in. Other than leisure spending nothing much has changed for me.
PSA: For those that are in the market for PC parts. It is projected that prices will be going back to normal in the next 6 months. Some countries have restricted crypto mining and cards are starting to go back into the market.

For me personally if I don't find any rush, I like to wait on deals. The nice thing is I don't really feel like sex toys are something people scalp to flip and make profits unlike GPUs, so the fast out of stock is most likely due to pandemic shortage and just everybody wanting to cop a good deal. I personally wait for a price dip although I'm a horny boy lol. The extra cost difference could yield another 1-2 onaholes with regular pricing.

@**ToyDemon** Generally I'm fairly frugal when it comes to spending money, specifically when it comes to the price of items. It's very unlikely that I'll purchase an item that is usually say $100 for $200, however I will say that I have been more hasty when it comes to buying things, so long as the price I am paying for it is the price I'm supposed to be paying for it and not some crazy price hike. A good example is; I'm waiting for the GPU situation to settle down before upgrading my GPU.
So I guess I'm somewhere in the middle.

@**ToyDemon** Hm. I'd say current situation has semi changed my spending habits. Really depend son what we are talking about. In general I'd vote B waiting for stock/prices to go lower or get best deals I can. i.e. gas- I'll go out of my way by several miles to get CostCo or Indie/Non Chain Gas Station prices (usually just under $4.00 here in CA which can be tricky). For items like certain hygeine products, hard drives, or physical media movies I just wait to find deals, wait for sales, know where to shop or just wait as prices still flux.
For Ona Holes I will try and wait for potential sales if I can, but I noticed this year there's been less of them so I have been erring to option A- buying more hastily than usual because stock has been short and infrequent so you kinda have to jump on it when its here. I have generally done there same with groceries but luckily I don't feel supply issues have been as bad there in 2021.

Absolutely, I'm conscious of how much things cost normally when I think about buying something. If it's a different of maybe $10 on something that's normally $100+, I might just buy it anyway, but if we're talking about $50, $100, $200 differences, I'm not that desperate for my favorite toys and brands to start shelling out half again, 2x, 3x as much as I would have been otherwise.
It's why I'm in no hurry to get the new Xbox or Playstation. With things are the way they are, I can't justify to myself spending $1000 on a console when my current Xbox works just fine and there's very few or almost none in the way of games that are exclusive to next gen. It's better to just wait for all of the kinks to get worked out, all of the reviews to come in, and the prices and supply to stop jumping all over the place.
Nobody likes waiting for things to get back to normal. I know I can't be alone in wanting to just be done with all of the nonsense of the past year and a half, whether that's the pandemic or the resource shortages. As much as I enjoy, say, TOMAX's sleeves, though, I'm not going to splurge $120 on something that's normally $60. I can wait for the prices to go back down. And, hey, if they take too long, then maybe the next time I'm thinking of buying and I'm too impatient to keep waiting, maybe I'll be in a place where eating the extra price will be a little less unpalatable, right?
So I guess... In a way, my normal shopping behavior has changed radically, because I'm waiting for prices to go back to normal instead of buying immediately, and yet it hasn't changed at all, because I'm buying at normal prices instead of paying double or triple, even if I have to wait several months.

@**ToyDemon**
I have changed my shopping behavior to deal with any increases in price to the more outrageous shopping items. I’ve been holding out on buying any new console and will continue to refuse to buy from until normality returns. Of course, it helps that I have a powerful gaming PC that allows me to play any new game that is released. As for onaholes, I’ve just continued to buy whatever onahole interests me, though I have slowed down now that my collection has grown.
I don’t believe I’ve bought more than I would have. Back before the Christmas sale, I bought nearly 15 Tomax toys when they came back in stock. This was more of a strategy than out of panic. After researching and discovering how Tomax products could take as long as 6 months to restock, I decided to just purchase the toys I had an eye on all at once. They have held out wonderfully and have, for the most part, taken me out of the Tomax market. If I do panic to buy anything, it’s items on my favorites list that the manufacturer has decided to discontinue. This can be a difficult thing when no warning is ever given by said manufacturer.
A shame since, from a selling point of view, the advertisement and hype from a soon-to-be permanently discontinued item could drive a buying frenzy as the manufacturer takes on any final demand for said item. Only making what is special ordered on the item’s final month of production.

@**ToyDemon** For me, it’s a combination of all 3 options.
Some things I either need or just want badly enough to go ahead and buy, even if the price is a little higher. For example, I needed to buy a car recently and so I had no choice but to buy one, even though the prices are not optimal currently. I own a business, and it has been my experience that when the price of consumer goods goes up, they rarely ever come back down to where they were before. So waiting for that to happen might be a pointless endeavor. Similarly, when I find something that I really really want, like a particular item on TD that I enjoy but wears out quickly, it makes sense to me to buy a couple while they’re in stock.
However, what has changed is that I have become more selective. I used to compile a huge TD every so often and try as many new things as I could find that looked like they might be my kind of product (I like softer toys). With higher prices, my “exploratory” shopping habits have changed and now I am far more likely to wait for reviews or a sale on a product that might be good but I’m on the fence about. The other effect is that now I find myself reordering items I’ve tried before and liked more than trying new or preorder products. Not exclusively, but more than I used to. (thats why I wish the softness ratings would come back, or something similar, because otherwise I have to wait and look for reviews that complain that the toy is too soft to find something I think I’ll like :-)
So, in some instances I guess I am waiting for availability, number of reviews, and pricing to improve before making some purchases, but not all. It really just all depends on the perceived risk to reward ratio.
I hope that answers all the questions and doesn’t come across as a cop out. Keep up the great work you guys do and thanks for having these polls/contests! It really does make it feel like TD cares about what their customers think!

@**ToyDemon** I only really started shopping online more recently (before I bought what I needed but was very rare overall) and honestly I haven't really felt the need to buy some things more quickly than needed (ok, maybe some toys here and there...). Currently trying to build a new PC as well and we all know that's gonna take a while these days.

@**ToyDemon** I am very hesitant when purchasing large items that are expensive and out of stock, I.E video cards, and would wait for those prices to normalize before I considered a purchase. When it comes to other items, like clothes, I have been spending more frequently, and out of boredom.
I am very careful with my purchases, normally, and I have waited for products to be back in stock on this site for quite some time. That's likely why I bought so much. That would be an example of buying hastily and frequently. I believe I placed about 3 orders in August alone. The prices here on ToyDemon don't seem to take advantage of whatever stocking issues might be going on. I deeply appreciate ToyDemon not artificially raising prices due to demand.
It really just depends on the item. Onaholes and cool clothes are something I feel are more important to me than other items at the moment, so I have bought them with more frequency lately. Gotta take care of yourself! ;D

@**ToyDemon** I'm more willing to pay full price if I want something, rather than wait to see if it goes on sale for a lower price. I see other in-demand products sell out quickly, and in some cases I accept going onto a waiting list. I do want a reasonable value for my money and am not very interested in accepting something I don't really want just because it's on sale or in stock. I generally avoid things for resale at inflated prices.
I do generally like to see a history of high reviews before I buy anything. And I tend to buy what I want when I want, within reason. I'll be placing my order for what I want soon. I just figure I'll wait a few hours to see if I can save $100.

@**ToyDemon** I usually dont buy pre-orders, and most likely waits for reviews (perhaps 1 month?). I dont rush for the cutting-edge products :) In the entertainment industry if you are not youtubers, i dont see any benefits of rushing for current-released goods tho :b Just waits for reviews, and i will surely be less regret or no regret :D
actually today i first time shop here, and FIRST onahole purchase EVER (bought the taciturn and the mouth)! :b i your site looks quite trustful XD

My shopping behavior has definitely changed. I'd still prefer to wait for reviews on products, unless they are one-time stock items like doujins. However, I've been making much more online purchases than I have before, likely because I've been working at home and have been browsing online stores more often.

@**ToyDemon** I don't really jump the gun on buying stuff unless it's something I really know I'll have trouble getting later. I was able to pre order a ps5 and lately I've been needing to pre order my manga more often or else I cant get it til later in the year. When it comes to onas I'm better off waiting for reviews and restocks, it's just a bummer if I miss out on a banger one and I skipped out on the pre ordee.
matiases ( 2 )
@**ToyDemon** Yes. These products are not immediately need to buy so I can wait unless it's something I need. I would preorder something I only know that's definitely I want and it might run out otherwise I'd glad to hear from other consumers' comments/reviews before purchase, that is after the item has released. I don't buy more than I normally would have. I would only wait it out knowing that's something I do not immediately need. So at the end. unless I need something right the way, I'd always love to do some research and go through some legit consumer review before spending my money.

Definitely frustrating having to play wack-a-mole with the Xbox Series X and PS5. I refuse to pay twice the price from all those scalpers. This just comes down to patience. Although for anime figures, I have been preordering for consistently even with the inflation of figure prices in the last 2-3 years. Buying secondary market is always expensive, and rereleases are not a guarantee.

@**ToyDemon** It depends on the item really. I haven't been buying higher-ticket items as frequently due to scalping and lower availability. For cheaper items though (like $5-$100) I've just continued as normal. If its out of stock then its out of stock. I dont rush or go out of my way.
Pango ( 9 )
@**ToyDemon** I have definitely been able to save a bit and reconsider purchases I normally would've made. Funnily enough, for things that haven't changed in price, I've been more prone to preordering things like that. Other than that, I've been more patient in waiting for things to return back to normal.

Things going out of stock hasn't really changed my shopping habits. Scalpers haven't burned me, but it has really made me not want to buy those products. Whether it be the switch or graphics cards. I have only had a negative experience with pre-ordering games, so now I will wait until it's out, has lots of reviews, and is on sale. Still waiting for BL3 Complete Edition to sell for around $5 lol.

Definitely making me wait until stock and prices are back to normal. I got exceedingly lucky and got a PS5 on release after pre-ordering one. However, this was an exception. I only wanted a PS5 because I never had a PS4. When FFVIIR was announced I thought long and hard about buying a PS4 Pro, but the 5 was so close that it seemed stupid not to wait. Otherwise I didn't think there were any system selling games on release.
I'd love to have built a gaming PC by now with a 3070 or 3080, but I can't justify the absurd prices when I've gotten by without a gaming pc for this long, so I'll be waiting until I can buy one at msrp or thereabouts. I sign up for stock alerts, so I won't necessarily wait until they're "easy" to buy but I'm not going to pay above MSRP or engage in any absurd practices (buy or customize a sneaker head script) for it.

@**ToyDemon** I usually read the reviews. And buy the "best" onahole, which has the highest praise. But they are almost always out of stock. So, I buy them ASAP. For example TOMAX. But as I buy them, I see and buy some other random onaholes. So, yes. I do buy more. Way more...

@**ToyDemon** If the product is available when I'm going to buy something else I will probably buy that instead and purchase the thing I would buy at a later date if it is still available. Just got to wait for the hype of the thing to die down a little then you buy it.

@**ToyDemon** The price fluctuations have definitely made the buying process more of a "wait and see" sort of thing. Weighing my options based on what the price is now, available stock, how much I need it, and a bunch of other variables is what dictates what I decide to purchase nowadays.

@**ToyDemon** Yes, I think it makes me wait until things are sort of normal, but also if there is something I wanted like the steam deck. I just preordered it as fast as possible so there's no way I can get forced into paying scalper prices, even if I just have to wait a while for supply.

@**ToyDemon** My shopping behavior on personal items usually consists of finding/waiting for good deals on things I want. While there was a period of deal haven during the ongoing pandemic, my shopping behavior changed to spending more money on one expensive thing to buying more inexpensive little things. I don't usually preorder or buy any product that comes out right away since I think reviews are a major indicator of purchasing a product but the steam deck is probably the only exception. I'm buying more inexpensive things in bulk.
Deleted ( 0 )
@**ToyDemon** There are things that I'd wait for if I don't really NEED it. But there are times that I do get impulsive and just lavishly spend on crap. Such items like the Steam Deck, of course I'll buy it given the chance instead of waiting either way.
I'm just an impulsive buyer and I regret it at times.

@**ToyDemon** I'm fortunate enough to generally afford the things I desire. I dont really care for the latest and greatest of anything, like a ps5 or Nintendo switch. With onaholes and sex toys, I just purchase when my current collection needs replacing, and luckily all the ones I wanted were in stock. I think my spending habits have increased due to how much doordash I'm getting though.

Has this changed your shopping behavior?
Not really. If its there? cool! if its not? Meh, I'll wait. I have enough things to get me off when there's a shortage. You've guys been good to me over the years, i can be patient.
Do you buy / preorder something ASAP (like the Steam Deck or the new OLED Nintendo Switch) when you normally would have waited until it is out and reviews are widely available?
Depends on the Brand. Steam deck, yep. Im waiting for reviews, but I think its cool as hell, so I'll eventually own one. Switch, I also waited, but thats because Wii U kinda put me in a weird spot with Nintendo. Anything Sony? Day 1....if possible lol.
Do you buy more than you normally would have? No. I usually have a budget for Toy Demon if I were to make purchases, hasn't change. I like trying new products too, but don't get too carried away( Gotta hide this stuff if ya know what I mean!)
Or have you been waiting it out and just not buy anything until things are back to normal? N
Nope. Buy if its there, move on if its not

@**ToyDemon** Increased prices have made me more aware of how nice sales and items being in stock had been. I have not preordered anything in a long time and will probably continue to do so. Prepaying for something that may not be ready for full release is definitely a downer when it turns out worse than you think that product will be, its almost a setup for disappointment. I buy what is needed/ would like so that others have a chance at grabbing whatever it is as well. I hoping things return to normal for peoples shopping behaviors.

@**ToyDemon** because of Covid and WFH, I just buy stuff online impulsively.
Sometimes I buy stuff regardless of the reviews because I have a pre-existing thought of how the product will work for me.
This time around, I just buy more than what I normally have.

@**ToyDemon** Honestly it's made me more hesitant to buy anything at the moment. The way I see it is like the toilet paper pandemic where a lot of people stocked up on sanitary products at exorbent prices, but it ended up where everything sold out came back to normal when it restocked. Also I usually game on PC so I'm good tbh.

@**ToyDemon** It has had a bit of hesitation in buying more products. I’m good to wait a bit for prices to even out and no this does not make me want to buy more, but aside from these products hopefully everything would stop taking nosedives like they are right now.

Usually before the pandemic I would buy things that would just release and not have to worry about stock being an issue, that's not longer the case. Right now being cautious is what I usually do to say money and not be scammed by people overpricing almost everything.

@**ToyDemon** Well, I guess it has in the sense that I'm not willing to buy things at inflated prices and would rather wait for them to come down to what they normally were. I know that items will eventually drop from their inflated prices and am in no rush to buy them. I tend to be a little cautious with purchases and to make sure that I'd really want the item before committing (which includes research on the item/whether or not it'd provide something of value/etc.). I've definitely been buying items that are out of stock in more than normal quantities though.
themanthemyththelegend ( 14 )
@**ToyDemon** I definitely notice in general that product stock can be very hawkish, if there is any notice that stock is going down then it gets bought up real quick. For me it’s a challenge to reign in my desire for a product and look at it practically.
TheGreatSwan ( 2 )
@**ToyDemon** Sometimes I feel the urge to pay something even if it cost more unless it is outrageously expensive. Usually though I like to wait until the price goes down. I also see myself checking to see on when items get back in stock so I make sure to take note on what day to check to see if they come back. So as far as my shopping behavior I think I just check up more on when they get back in stock often than I normally would. I Still buy the same quantity though so that hasn’t changed as far for my behavior. I might preorder something if I feel like I really want it.
Havok ( 17 )
@**ToyDemon** Ive definitely ended up more preorder heavy on things that I think I would like based on past experience
but its also preventing me from taking a similar plunge for trying new things, because when that thing comes out and has favorable reviews then its too late to get it
but especially fuck pokemon card scalpers, theyre leaking into other hobby collectibles

I pre-ordered the Series X, but I think that comes with obviously fulfilled promises. I just ordered a couple onaholes for the first time. I'm not sure what the prices are normally, but I just assumed the prices haven't changed much. I've bought more anime on bluray, sometimes waiting for lower prices, sometimes just buying it after expecting it to disappear alrogether.

@**ToyDemon** I have personally resorted to learning things like Homesteading, Soldering to repair broken electronics, and 3D Printing to make my life a lot easier in these trying times. I did preorder the steamdeck, but I have been an avid gamer for years and would've day one'd it anyway, so I don't really think of that as an impulse buy. I managed to snag a 3080 at retail, so I haven't been as bogged down by supply issues as other people have.
mammothman65 ( 1 )
@**ToyDemon** My shopping behavior has definitely changed since the start of the pandemic. With the increased demand of commodities and limited supply, higher prices took a heavy toll on my spending volume. In parallel, my disposable income has increased due to needing to spend less, since I'm working remotely from home.
HairyKnoles ( 1 )
@**ToyDemon** depends on the items I’m after. I’ve started preordering more than I used to. I’ve started signing up for in stock email notifications like I did on this site. Everything has worked out well enough without over paying for items

I think I am slightly more willing to spend a bit more money to get things sooner / get things I want just because of the money that I have saved from not going out for the past year. But I really don't think that I have been trying to buy/preorder just in case things run out. I'd still rather just wait for the new stock to come in since most of these things are enjoyable, but not essential

@**ToyDemon** at the present moment, it truly depends on what I'm looking at. I sat around and waited very patiently for a figure to come up a decent price that I was hunting for for about 5 years now. I finally got a decent price on it. Saved 120$ overall by waiting it out.

The increase in price makes me wait until price are normal. Then depending on the price and categories, I will see if I can buy used product for a large discount. For example, graphics cards now are way to expensive, I got my graphics card by buying used PC then selling out parts I don't need. But I can't do the same for some product, like shoes, wearing someone else's shoes is very awkward to me.

@**ToyDemon** I've been waiting on purchases but I also become more invested in the product. I'm constantly checking to see if said product is back in stock and it kinda helps alleviate my buyer's remorse since I know I actually want it if I have the patience to check its availability frequently.

@**ToyDemon** I voted on the second one even though my reality should be the third option lol. I found a good paying job a month before the lockdown from covid. I was able to save up a lot of money and begin a nice savings account and invested more in my 401k. However, i notice in the past few months, my spending has become a bit rampant. Personally, my expenses aren't as huge like some people who bought used or newer vehicles (14k+) but i still splurged quite a bit this year than i ever had in the past 15 years of working to survive. My reality is finally setting back in and i am able to reset and continue on my long term goals

@**ToyDemon** I was on the verged of paying so high for getting a good gpu in the market luckily i was able to find someone selling it msrp but the person probably thought it was broken. hopefully everything gets back to normal since a lot of people out there are scalpers and wanna rip off other's wallet.

@**ToyDemon** I just got a job and I still don’t make a lot but I try limit what I buy. Especially now I’m mainly trying to save up for a computer but at the same time I really want an onahole cause I’ve never had one before. @**ToyDemon** Yes, I stayed up and preordered a 3070ti when they released because I knew they would be impossible to get otherwise. I don't buy more than I normally would but my buying habits are definitely different in that I am more likely to pre-order something that I want, when normally I would wait for reviews because I am a pretty cautious purchaser.

@**ToyDemon** Has this changed your shopping behavior?
Yes, it has I have been wanting to order a few things but now that stock is low and new items are being released, I am waiting for the right products to make my order.
Do you buy / preorder something ASAP (like the Steam Deck or the new OLED Nintendo Switch) when you normally would have waited until it is out, and reviews are widely available?
I will usually preorder/order something asap if its priced fairly decent. If not then I would maybe wait for reviews.
Do you buy more than you normally would have? (we had customers buying up to 6 different Tomax sleeves when it came back in stock). Or have you been waiting it out and just not buy anything until things are back to normal?
I have not bought more than I have normally would because during the pandemic its safe to be frugal.

@**ToyDemon** It depends on the item and how essential it is. I had to get a car recently and I had to put up with the increased car prices. However, when I wanted to get a PS5, I kept waiting for months till I was able to get one with regular price.
What is really sad are the scalpers and how they exploit people during these difficult times.

@**ToyDemon** My shopping habits have changed a bit. Because of the pandemic my normal hobbies like MTG etc. are a little limited. I use the extra money from there here. I like to splurge on myself and have a good time.
Conversely I'm not buying electronics or car parts etc due to massive inflation. Same with wood for my other hobbies. I also prefer reading reviews before I purchase anything, but I also remain skeptical about hype like with the steam deck and such. Overall i think im a little more conservative with my money.

@**ToyDemon** Depends on the product depends on the demand. If it was a GTX 3080 I would probably pay 250-500$ over MSRP currently just so I can actually acquire one.
I do feel from a customer service perspective the option to pre-order something so you can get it when it comes back into stock is invaluable, if a product has yet to be released though I will not pre-order, I always wait to see reviews. Not to beat a dead horse but my current frustration and many others with getting a GPU is how uncaring the companies seem to the plight of people fighting against bots/scalpers.
That being said I fully support ToyDemon placing order limitations on high demand products to allow for more people to have access, and having pre-orders to help garner a supply need for new products (assuming the pre-order information is being fed back to the distributer -> supplier -> manufacturer to help ensure those who want one on release are able to receive their product).
TLDR, Pre-orders good, I just don't use them. Pre-ordering for restock is great and I would use it. Order limitations I strongly support.

@**ToyDemon** Speaking of cars, my old one's head gaskets just went because the coolant surge tank blew a crack in it and I had to get something else to drive in a hurry, didn't realize that used cars were getting harder to come by. Facebook marketplace and craigslist offerings were mostly high mileage junk or projects and the sellers still wanted a premium for them. I luckily found a pretty good used car at a local dealership for a pretty reasonable price, but I really wish I'd had more options to choose from. I've been wanting to get new PC stuff but between GPUs being scalped so heavily and the next AMD platform being right around the corner I've been waiting. I've been wanting to try out the Tomax Venus Real onaholes but they have been flying off the shelves as soon as they come in, need to be quick on the trigger with those.

@**ToyDemon** I've personally been buying various items more because of more time spent browsing products that interest me. @**ToyDemon** I usually buy everything just the same. I budget my leisure purchases pretty strictly, so I try to use up the budgeted amount to buy what I want, even if it means I buy less for more money. Of course, there's always a balance-- if I think something has become too pricy, then I don't buy it, and I'll wait. But there are usually things I want to buy where the pleasure they give me outweigh the patience I would have to expend to wait for the prices to go down.
For onaholes, I pounced on the Tomax as soon as they were announced, but otherwise, I mostly stick to purchasing things the same as I did before.

@**ToyDemon**
Some of my buy habits have changed, but things have gotten better over the last 4 months to the point of normal, at least for me.
But back in November I really needed to get a replacement car, and I was saving up for a good used one. So when I showed up at dealership we did allot of back-and-forth dealing and I got a great deal on a new car. I think that the pandemic pressure helped me out in this instance.
ToyDemon has been great, all things considering. I know I'm buying more here than elsewhere, especially with pre-orders. It's too bad some stuff inaccessible (Tomax Insomnia!!) but I'm sure that will eventually change for the better.

@**ToyDemon** I've definitely started jumping on video game and console preorders as soon as I possibly can assuming I have the money to do so. I've still personally been waiting for PS5s to eventually be normal since I've already waited so long on them, but certain things like special editions of new games can be so scarce I try to get a copy as soon as it goes up. I've never really paid attention to new onahole releases since I only really buy them when I have the extra money to do so, but I'm sure if I saw something I absolutely had to have then I'd order it as soon as I could. I'm definitely keeping an eye out on things that can get high resale values not even to resell but just so I know I can get one to use myself.

@**ToyDemon** I’d say it’s a bit of a mixed bag for me. For the most part I’ve been pretty good at keeping myself away from hasty purchases. I’ve gotten my hands on some of the more difficult tech in recent months, but that wasn’t a hastily made choice, and was instead something I decided on with a totally rational mind.
I’d obviously prefer if the process to get there didn’t make me wait in online queues mashing the refresh button, but that’s just the way things are right now. As long as I’m paying standard market price, then I can work with something, but above that price point and/or sold by resellers and scalpers, I’m out and will just wait patiently for prices and stock to level out again.

@**ToyDemon** I used to preorder but not anymore. I'm certainly cutting back on spending especially on things I don't need. All big purchases I'm waiting for the best deals possible but over all I'm buying most what I've been wanting to get soon and on sale than waiting for all prices to come down. I don't expect everything to get cheaper over the years.
I'm already expecting everything to be sold out the second BF sale begins so getting it now.

@**ToyDemon** I generally have been pretty lucky this past year in that I haven't needed to buy anything that is is in high demand (except during that meat shortage), but if I ended up wanting something with a waiting line I wouldn't have an issue waiting it out. However, this year's Black Friday might make me a liar.

@**ToyDemon** I definitely bought more hastily if the products are low in stock but the prices stayed the same, such as with the recent Tomax resupply. With more expensive electronics like graphics cards and consoles, I am definitely waiting for prices to go back down to MSRP, even if I have to money to buy it for a few hundred dollars over.

For me, I’ve found that I’m actually buying a lot less than I used to. Things that are hard to find or are constantly out of stock have made me step back and consider the purchase altogether.
If something I’m after happens to be in stock, that’s great! If it’s not, and it’s turning out hard to find, I kind of lose interest which is great for my purse!

@**ToyDemon** I haven't really changed my purchasing habits and I didn't even start using onaholes until last December because I didn't know there were any US based stores that sold them. I had tried Fleshlight but didn't like them and Amazon stocked very few onaholes and even when I tried them it wasn't discreet enough shipping wise.

@**ToyDemon** For a lot of non-essential items, the increased price has led me to wait. I heard that some of the price increase is actually due to sellers, not because of real shortage of supply, so I don’t want sellers to take advantage. It’s non-essential, so I can wait. For essential items, I don’t see a crazy amount of increase, so with respect to that, my buying habit has not changed.

@**ToyDemon** It's made me more likely to casually shop and buy things I otherwise wouldn't have, in what I'll say is a less responsible fashion haha, even if there are fewer or no reviews on something to buy. Part of that is that I also have more disposable income with WFH and spending less overall though.
Wrell ( 2 )
@**ToyDemon** The increased prices has definitely made me more frugal in my spending, but if there is a product I really want I will still purchase it. What it typically comes down to is I'm less likely to purchase a lesser-reviewed or new product because of the price increase but it has not affected my outlook on already established products.
Rebelflame ( 9 )
@**ToyDemon** There are multiple times where I see PS5s being in stock but I honestly think it would be better for me to just wait for the right moment to actually own one. As much as I want to play PS5 games, I can wait until next year when stocks/prices become more normal.

It hasn't really changed my shopping behavior, I do not pre-order things in general until there have been a few reviews. After that I wait till it is in stock and closer to the original price (or cheaper) before purchasing.
The main thing that has changed is having to wait longer for certain things.

@**ToyDemon** honestly when it comes to buying stuff, im content with what i have so i dont really need to buy anything necessary such as a car or new computer parts ect. however when it comes to the new items arriving on toydemon, ive already bought most everything that i want so now i just buy the pre-order stuff mostly so that i can contribute reviews to them, and those items are at a discount with extra points too so im accumulating a backlog of points for more preorder items down the line. However sometimes theyre a hit and sometimes theyre a miss, ive grown knowledgeable with my collection so i generally know if i will like the sleeves before i buy them regardless of actually using them. But that still comes with the caveat of not knowing tightness and firmness of the materials. I like to think im doing the community a service, however, i still need to get around to reviewing my whole collection. thus far ive only reviewed a few of my non pre ordered items and have mostly been submitting reviews for the pre-ordered items i purchase instead. Mostly due to laziness.
David12345 ( 1 )
@**ToyDemon** I've been waiting it out. I'm hoping for computer parts to come back to normal prices by the end of the year. Otherwise most of my purchases haven't changed in terms of prices and availability.

@**ToyDemon** Shopping behavior - minimal impact. Not buying or preorder if I would have normally waited for reviews. While the Steam console is appealing, am not ready to purchase. Not purchasing more than I normally would have.

@**ToyDemon** For the most part, my shopping is based around a price point, so if something's more expensive I won't go for it unless it's really important. Still not gonna pay double for a PS5 though. It does make me more prompt when ordering things that I know are going to go out of stock though.
Runescapefan24 ( 28 )
@**ToyDemon** for me personally, i just buy what i want even if it is a bit higher. money always burns a hole in my pocket lmao. i generally will hold out on super expensive stuff though, but for cheaper items its easier.
Hellopanda1 ( 4 )
@**ToyDemon** I've been very patient during the pandemic only buying things that I really need. Once in a while, I will go ahead and buy that certain thing I have been desiring even if the price has been marked up a bit. There have been purchases like this where I believe have been worth it, and some that have not. It just depends on the circumstances at the time and other variables.

My shopping behavior did change but only slightly. I'm already the type of person to wait for my savings to increase before I buy something I don't absolutely need.
If I do need something, I'll look at more options and compare prices on different sites, but I'll still buy what I need even if the prices are higher at the moment.

@**ToyDemon** i guess it depends. If I know it is an item that will probably be scalped then I pre order. But if we are talking about things that have substitute products then I just grab what is available. Clothes is a good example of this, I don't mind whose brand of jeans of wearing.

@**ToyDemon** It actually depends on the particular products. I personally find myself buying household essentials less frequently but mostly in bulks, but I do sometimes like to pre-order or making fast decisions on electronics, and sometimes I pay more than MSRP (but who cares about MSRP if you can't even get one)
shura ( 31 )
@**ToyDemon** My shopping behavior hasn't changed in terms of haste, but it has in the sense that purchases cater towards a lockdown mentality or staying from home often. I still think waiting for reviews is important as buyers remorse is something that I don't want to have to experience with what little expendable income I have. It has made me buy way more onaholes though since I'm not going out/seeing people as much haha.

@**ToyDemon** I did some pre-orders in past few years on games like BFV, Cyberpunk 2077. Something are just found to be disappointing when people got it. I would say I will basically wait and see reviews of others. And price of graphic card is so high, I think we should just wait. Generally for the non-essential items, just wait, unless you really know it even before the release.

Personally I’ve found I’ve been using more local suppliers than before. Shops that I’d normally disregard as they are local/independent small shops have been really amazing!
For items that have been difficult to track down, I’ve usually contacted multiple places in order to find when the stock may come in and regularly checked up closer to the time before purchasing. I don’t think I’ve stocked excessively, more regular and widespread compared to before though for sure and it’s always nice to see that local shops are appreciative of the custom.

For me personally no. It’s an unfortunate but fortunate combo, like a sweet and sour amazing mixture. Lost my job due to COVID. Perfect timing because I hated my new job. However, I moved in with a friend and I’m saving $1k a month on rent. So I actually have more money to utilize now via saving from renting my own place. Got heavily involved in the stock market, buying on the lows, so this has been my job now, and making good money doing it.

@**ToyDemon** My spending habits have changed a bit, but not in response to the current shortages/price hikes. I'm in a better place financially this year than in the last several, and am very privileged to be so. Even so, items I buy here basically encompass my luxury item spending. I don't like to "stock up" or panic buy: I replaced my worn out Venus Reals with one each of my favorites as they ought to last until more are available. If I want something else before then, I'll buy it or wait till it's back in stock and just buy one again. My biggest expense remains food. I probably eat 95% my own cooking, and I'll keep buying good ingredients even if they get pricier. I think that's a worthwhile investment.

@**ToyDemon** When the prices hike up like this, it makes me sit on the idea for almost half a year or even a year or two before I decide to pull the trigger on non essential items such as this, and to be honest, it doesn't make too much a difference to me.

@**ToyDemon** The newer launches I have little interest in, so that's not a bother to my shopping experience. Although there are some toys I buy a restock on after some wear and tear like the ZXY and tong-go 2, which I know were out of stock for a bit when I wanted them, I was happy to wait until they were back in stock or even try some other onaholes. Overall, it has effected my experience but I have not hastily bought something or multiples of that toy out of fear I would not get it, not preorder "hastily". Thank you for the opportunity for reward points.

I pre-ordered my series X the day it was available. But I've always been either a day one kind of guy or wait until it went on sale a year or two later.
Other things like nicotine or home products I haven't really noticed a big difference in what I am or was willing to pay; as for amount I am not a scalper or reseller so I only buy for my own (or my family's own use).
As far as onaholes go I tend to wait until a few reviews at the least come in before I'd be willing to buy.

Even with short supply and high demand, I would wait till more people have bought the item and more reviews are out there. Once there are more reviews and the price returns to normal, or lowers a bit, then I will buy the item. If I have to wait half a year or more, then I will just buy the item right there instead of waiting for a cheaper price.

@**ToyDemon** At this point in time, due to the supply chain being back up. I just wait it out for non essential items. A bit on back ground context. I remember having DDR4 ram price spike to the point. Where a 16 Gb kit was 200 dollars. So the only thing to do was swallow the price hike, or wait it out. Now DDR4 is pretty cheap. So like many great mind before me have said; all things come to end. And so will this supply chain problem.

I enjoy this sites pre ordering because the incentives make it worth it if it's something I want to try.

I only really buy at all if I really like something so if that's the case i'll get it ASAP via pre-order or day of release. @**ToyDemon** my shopping habits haven’t changed much. I’d still wait to buy something on sale or after it’s been reviewed and out awhile.
rainingaces ( 1 )
@**ToyDemon** I don't have a definite answer but I think the pandemic has changed the way I spend, I've spent more for things I want after the pandemic hit to keep myself busy. So it's quite inverse since I actually have the time now for things to do other than work. I have a little excess of money I can spend so I think I would attempt to buy up things but I also reverse myself for better prices if it's something expensive.
mc148 ( 43 )
@**ToyDemon** My buying behavior is mostly unchanged. I am generally a cautious buyer and want to make sure my money is well spent. With shortages that means I need to wait a while sometimes. I'll buy some things during the shortage, but spend less overall money as I wait for more normal prices.
iLuvBobz ( 19 )
@**ToyDemon** In truth, the pandemic hasn't changed much for me. Yes, I'm still waiting to get my hands on a series X. I will not pay scalpers prices. As for onaholes, I guess you could say I only looked into them because of quarantine and the pandemic. So I actually don't know what prices were like in the before times.
The lack of stock on items is indeed harsh, and I can't help but wonder if another lockdown/quarantine will happen in the near future(thanks a lot Delta variant) and cause even more production hiccups. Actually, I did hastily buy an item when I saw there were only 4 left. So I suppose that is a factor, not knowing when something will be back in stock.

My shopping behavior hasn't really changed much, but if I had to lean in one direction, it would be that I am a whole lot more conservative with my purchases these days. Though I wouldn't say it's because of the market being short on supply, I would say it's mostly because financially. Even though I'm not financially worse off, I feel like things could flip out any second and so this leads me to spend less than I would usually.
We'll see how I feel in a few years, but I definitely probably won't change anytime soon.

At the beginning of the pandemic and the shortage, my shopping behavior did change for a while. For example, when the PS5 and the new RTX card came out, I would always monitor websites like Best buy and GameStop to try and purchase one of these products, but after a month of trying to purchase and failing, I just gave up and am waiting for things to go back to normal since I don't really need them that bad. Now that I decided to just wait, my shopping behavior went back to normal, where if I am able to buy it at MSRP then hooray, but if it's out of stock or more expensive than it usually is, I'll just wait it out until things are back to normal.

@**ToyDemon** I normally don't need things right away so I just buy things ahead of time like I always do. It gives me the opportunity to wait for sales. However if there is something I want right away (like a newly released item) I also don't mind paying more. I also haven't really been buying more than I normally do ,unless it's essentials like toilet paper lol

@**ToyDemon**. The current situation has definitely made me wait sometimes. It just depends on the product and how much it is valuable to me. If I think it's worth it then I'll try to buy it as soon as it's in stock

It has changed my behavior to the point where I only buy things on good sales. I have always bought things this way, and I look mostly for big sale seasons. Unfortunately, this means usually watching for things in and out of stock and wondering if I would be able to get it at the next sale. This also puts more pressure on things that are on sale and the stocks are low. Do I buy it now? Do I buy it and hope for a better sale? I feel like it's all part of the game, so I usually reason with sales for myself.

@**ToyDemon** For new purchases I'm still fairly wary and wait for review to come in before purchasing. Oddly enough the amount of effort it takes to hunt for limited or popular scalper items have made me think my purchases. I'd say I'm buying even less in the past year.

I would say my shopping habits are mostly the same. Although most of the things I would buy are simply not in stock in the first place.
I'm signed up for multiple stock alerts for GPUs and they still sell out instantly. I really wish I could just backorder them. Even if it took 6 months or more, at least I'd be guaranteed to have it.

@**ToyDemon** my shopping behavior has been affected after seeing how much I've been saving. My current goal is to keep my extra spending money to 10% in my budget. Inflation has been noticeable, but I feel comfortable via financial planning. For 10% limit, if that means I haven't spent as much in a month, I'm open to buying new sex toys. But I am also patient in saving for the Nintendo Switch, vacation, or music purchases. My last three preorders were vinyls, for example. If I know something is limited, I have no hesitation in saving for it in advance. Remember, it's always important to treat yourself (within reason)!

@**ToyDemon** When this all started, I kind of just enjoyed the stuff I hadn’t gotten around to doing. But as it went on and on, I started preordering things like crazy haha. I think it was from being cooped up so long and I literally could not go out that I started shopping online way more often and wanted to “secure” the items I found. I have slowed down in my preorders and stuff like that but it has become common place for me. I can’t be bothered to do as many “toy hunts” nowadays.

In the case of a PS5, which I've have been trying real hard to get, I do try my luck to buy when they are available online but sadly by the time it is my turn in queue they're completely sold out. I would rather wait for a PS5 to be easily purchasable in store rather than paying scalper prices elsewhere.
In the case of onaholes I also don't mind waiting on restocks for a certain product because I'd rather wait for more reviews from others when purchasing onaholes since I have no idea how they will turn out. I just purchased a Tomax onahole recently because of the recent restock and hype that's been going around with them and I can say wait for the restock was much worth the wait and I'm fairly satisfied with the purchase I made.

@**ToyDemon** The lack of products increases the urgency, but the higher prices makes it hard to justify buying it right away rather than waiting a while. I prefer to just purchase other things until everything is back to normal, rather than spend a HUGE markup on something I can normally get for far cheaper. Right before shortages on products began I ordered something for around $50 and now it would easily be into the hundreds, waiting a year or more for it and buying other stuff to keep your interest is a much better option. As for amount of things purchased, I still buy the same quantity, while sure it would make sense to buy in bulk due to shortages, it doesn't fully justify it as having more just because I may not be able to get more soon doesn't mean I would need the extra items.

1) I'm not going to pay more regardless of scarcity.
2) I will buy something in stock that is in high demand (frequently out of stock) more quickly when I see that it is in stock. This does not make me buy more or buy things I normally would not. It simply means that I'm absorbing the cost of warehousing your product (ie it sits here unused waiting to be put to use).

@**ToyDemon** It honestly depends on what the product is, but I'm generally a "wait and see" kind of guy. I never would've rushed to get a PS5 because of how long it'll take for it to have a substantial library, and with toys so a lot of potential enjoyment depends on your personal size and sensitivity so I can't imagine ever rushing to buy one. I am a bit annoyed about the PC parts shortage though. I wanted to build one this year but I'm on a budget so I'll have to wait.

I definitely find myself holding back on frivolous purchases now, especially after I splurged last year in 2020. Inflation of prices on everything really deterred me from spending excessively, so I definitely can wait until a great sale comes by. I'm both hopeful and worried about the onahole stock during this year's Black Friday Sale.

@**ToyDemon** I think this is a great question, and the answer to it surely depends on the type of products I'm buying.
For electronics, the prices are still so inflated that I'm definitely waiting for them to go down. Groceries haven't inflated in price or gone scarce where I am (Massachusetts), but I've given less thought to stocking up on higher quantities of items at once.
As far as sex toys, I've definitely been more likely to try to get things while they're freshly in stock. I'm striking for available items more quickly than I was before the pandemic. Because my favorite toys come from Japan, importing products creates uncertainty for restocking and also COVID is a big concern over there due to the Olympics and the Delta strain.
I've developed a good idea of the kinds of toys I like now from Toydemon, so I wait until things I want are in stock, and pounce once I get in-stock emails.
Thanks!

@**ToyDemon** I just try not to spend a lot of money. My shopping behavior is about the same. If it's price is higher than it's usual price I wait unless I really want it or need it. If something is low on stock than typically it's price is a bit higher although that's not always the case, but I usually just wait until it's more available and in stock.

@**ToyDemon** My shopping behavior has led me to buy more and stock up. Mostly, I end up buying more of things during a sale in fear that the price will go up. For tech products though, I'm not paying above MSRP without a really good reason.
I will preorder things I want more often to try to ensure I will get it at MSRP and not marked up. Most of the time, sites also offer free shipping if you do this.
Honestly, I've tried to spend less on nonessential items and try to only buy things if I'm going to use them or if I have a good reason for buying them.

It depends. When it comes to guns and ammo, I refuse to pay the outrageous prices being asked for either now. Graphics cards? I'm not paying over MSRP. Other stuff like with onahole price increases, that's just something we have to deal with, because with inflation on the rise, I'm sure this will become the new "normal". I do find myself becoming more picky with onaholes now. I would like to think that the high-purchase price items will go back to MSRP at some point, but it could be years before that happens. I'm making stuff last longer and save everywhere I can. I did buy multiples of some onaholes because I'd rather have them in storage or give as gifts, rather than want one later and not be able to get it. I stockpile more food and water than I did before the pandemic, I'm more cautious of my spending, I buy 2 of small items because I know it might be gone later. I find myself more often saying "better not" and abstaining from a purchase than before. It's not great.

@**ToyDemon** It really depends on the item for me, some things such as anime figures (which ive spent more on than id like already) ive been tending to preorder them more often recently as they constantly get delayed then immediately out of stock and possibly not able to be gotten again for a long time if at all. Other items such as here at toydemon, i still like to wait for reviews after an item comes out but have already regretted it for some and have to wait for said items to be back in stock. Shipping prices for some things also makes purchases harder to decide on getting them right away or waiting a while.

@**ToyDemon** My behavior towards purchasing hasn't really changed and if it did it has been much more conservative in my choices. I would have to say that I am not a big fan of preordering products of any kind, which is why I take reviews into consideration. I want to make sure the user experience was worth the price point.I have been waiting for a good seasonal sale or for deals within my budgetary restrictions. Limited stock allows me to browse and be more selective instead of rushing to buy. I am patiently waiting for reviews and overall consensus on products no matter the pandemic prices.

@**ToyDemon** My shopping behavior has changed much more and the dramatic price changes for certain products really impacted that. If there is a product I really want or need that is MSRP but limited stock, I determine how much I really need or want it at this moment in time and usually just hastily buy it to reduce risk of not having when I could be using it. It has helped me prioritize saving money for products I need and holding off on things I want. But when it does come to things I really WANT and not need, I will just hastily buy it because I am not sure when they'll be back in stock and it's better to know that I am an actual consumer who will use it instead of a scalper trying to make a quick buck off of desperate people or those who do not care much for the price

@**ToyDemon**
Buying behaviors have always been interesting to look at and observe. At the start of the pandemic, we saw people hoarding toilet paper and masks. People thought that TP was a valuable commodity and demand went through the roof, hence all the panic buying. While the market might not be as large, onahole demand definitely increased throughout the pandemic (how much stimulus money was spent on toys?). Through COVID-related shipping delays, we also saw lots of restock delays on products, artificially lowering the suppy of several key products on the site (Remember the Great Lube Drought?). In terms of my shopping behavior, the pandemic has definitely made me plan ahead of time when ordering anything that has limited supply and can sell out for weeks or months even. During the pandemic, I have bought my "big ticket" items like Switch, PS5, VR Headset, graphic cards, etc. ahead of time if possible. Same goes for toys/accessories on here. If I knew lube was going to sell out like that weeks in advance, I would have purchased another bottle or two with my last order.
An interesting thing to point out would be the "X Left in Stock" feature here on TD. I feel like that's been one of the biggest things that might help influence buying behavior as well. If I see a product I'm on the fence about, or have decided to get at a later date that has the "X Left in Stock", it usually makes me weigh my purchase against when I can get the product in the future. Sometimes holes sell out for months, and when you're finally ready to buy that hole you've really wanted, you're SOL.
TL;DR: Demand goes up, supply goes down. Buying frenzy's in town.

I’ve avoided paying full price when possible for a very long time now, so the pandemic didn’t change that. Video games in particular tend to drop quite a bit in less than a year. The only exception is onaholes which have affected my shopping habits since the pandemic. One specific example is the Rene Tits when they were finally back in stock last year. I wanted to wait to see what the next month’s perks were but I noticed how quickly they were about to sell out and got myself a pair before it was too late. I also try to grab some lube when I can because I’ve seen how long it can take to restock since last year. I haven’t been buying many onaholes since I like the Venus Real so much, but some of my toys are starting to break so I’ll be shopping again soon.

So our question for this giveaway is:
Has this changed your shopping behavior?
Nope, I still just buy what I want when I want it. I always looked at reveiws before I buy anything online so I just continue normally.
Do you buy / preorder something ASAP (like the Steam Deck or the new OLED Nintendo Switch) when you normally would have waited until it is out and reviews are widely available?
I always look at reviews before I buy anything online so I just continue normally.
Do you buy more than you normally would have? (we had customers buying up to 6 different Tomax sleeves when it came back in stock).
I buy what I want, sometimes it is more than normal sometimes it is less than. Not a lot of changes, just appetite might be different depending on when I am looking to shop for stuff.
Or have you been waiting it out and just not buy anything until things are back to normal?
Nope, I just continue life as normal.

@**ToyDemon** The amount of demand can greatly increase product prices a lot, but I still like to wait for deals or when prices are normal. Although, I will still find myself occasionally buying things in fear of them being sold out. I do find buying multiple items out of fear dumb as it's an irrational choice you would not make normally, therefore, I myself, like to wait and be patient.
