@Idontthinkso We are really sorry. I was given the wrong nickname when posting the winners. I have corrected in my original comment announcing the winners. As an apology, we have added $10 in rewards into your account.
Again, we apologize for the mistake.

@**ToyDemon** It really is difficult. I've tried to start a few convos and they don't usually get any traction. I do think some sort of image-sharing function would be useful. Afaik it doesn't exist? I'm getting a major reddit-vibe from the site design, and posts with media attachments universally get more engagement.
Allowing people in the community tab to "tag" their post as a certain item would be useful for discussing specific products. Then displaying those that are tagged on the product page could give a different way to drive engagement towards these threads. Something like this would certainly help to make the TD site more cohesive.

Plenty of good suggestions so far. Some other thoughts:
1. Some behind-the-scenes info - anything interesting to share around the office?
2. I see customers can click "Discuss" on a toy, but it's kind of hidden away; maybe make this more prominent. Do those posts go to the community board?
3. Regular posts/columns. Similar to what you do with these giveaway posts - get people discussing some topic.
4. (I don't know if this is a thing, but...) Do you get any kind of "trade" info? Do manufacturers send press packets or promo items? If so, share it!
5. Pictures! Include additional pics of toys that are only available in the community. For example, most toys seem to have 4-8 pictures that look to be taken from the box. Maybe take some pics of what else is in the box (some toys include other goodies) or the toy itself.

Exoanded profile customization would be cool (though I'm sure it would be a lot of work and money). Steam, the gaming platform for example does this well. You could show off favorite products, badges for different purchases, have a short bio, avatar frames for loyalty or membership tier, most recent forum post, something to reward users for interacting with the community side.
Apologies in advance for being off topic below, but writing about improvements got me thinking about what the site could also improve on overall:
I think an advanced filtering system your products would be really helpful. For example when viewing products, display a list of filterable attributes of a product like brand, size, firmness, etc. (this is all feedback from a mobile user btw, don't use desktop much) I think it would really help narrow choices down, rather than having to scroll endlessly based off of 1500 items sorted by newest, until I find what I'm looking for.
On the topic of filtering, I would love to see but not quite sure how to implement, is a universal firmness/softness scale. I am a soft ona fan, but I find it quite difficult to figure out if a product is similar to my favorites in terms of softness (venus cyclone very soft, puni virgin fuwatoro 1000). The only practical way at the moment I've found, is to look at the reviews and see what others said about the firmness and make my own judgment call, but the problem is sometimes people's definition of soft or hard are not the same. An idea could maybe be allow for users to rate all the attributes of a product and take all the averages of those ratings and place it right below the star rating of each product.
Finally, not sure if this could be improved anymore, but performance and responsiveness of the site is very poor on both an old and new phone of mine. It takes forever to load a page sometimes and I personally have spent less time on the site because of it. If there is anything you guys can improve on in the backend, I think it would be greatly beneficial to current and new users.

@Energized We already have filtering of attributes. On mobile right under the list of the total items in a category there's a world "Filters", once you hit that, a window will slide out for all the attributes that's filterable.

Some suggestions:
1. Show featured community posts on the home page, or in newsletters, and invite users to join in the conversation.
2. Show community post mentions on product pages, like how wishlists are shown.

Adding some kind of survey that helps users (both new and old) find toys by asking their preferences, then giving them a list/queue of toys they might like. This would give new users a place to start with toys instead of wandering the website aimlessly and then getting discouraged if they can’t find anything.
I know for me, when I was starting out, I would find a toy I was interested in, only find that “oh, this toy isn’t big enough for me,” or “oh, this is out of my price range.”
Giving people that head start would let them try new things based on what they like, and in turn making them feel more comfortable engaging with the community.

@**ToyDemon** Today's my first day in Toydemon and as first time visitor, it has not been easy navigating. I only noticed this post after 3 hours of browsing, and didn't even know there was a community forum until I read this post to participate in giveaway. I have like 20 tabs open for Toydemon at this point and don't even know how exactly I got to this page. Some UI update or condensing of the menu might be good. If the community forum is important for the community, maybe put a link it in the top menu next to contact/news?

I believe a few things. More videos showing off the product and usage will welcome more customers and reinforce the credibility and legitimacy of the company. To keep the customers I would say themed months with occasional discounts. Like certain characters from anime or something, with discounts to attract more people. Also I think for members, wether through a discounted price, giveaways or for subscribers, they should be given hentai videos or other video content to help piggy back off the products and Vice versa (especially if you can get themed products like specific waifu).
To “encourage others participation” I would say:
1. Implement the points system into reviews, so for every review on purchased product you get X amount of points or some reward.
2. Have a daily spin wheel with discounts. This will undoubtedly keep more people coming back to look at the website.
3. Have filters when searching like “best bang for your buck”, “most realistic”, “hidden gems” etc. that customers can put on products to give a better grasp for new customers.
4. Aim for more of a discord feel with certain channels and threads that feel more alive. This seems a lot more scattered.
5. Weird idea but you should get one of those online claw machines with some cheaper products in there and a couple expensive ones. Those usually are pretty popular and it’s a way to participate without spending a lot of money.

1. You could encourage a variety of content types, such as discussions, product reviews, user stories, and Q&A sessions. I personally enjoyed
seeing an unboxing video of products; it gave me a better image of the product I intend to buy.
2. Share regular updates and news related to the industry, products, or the community itself.
3. Create a feedback loop where users can suggest improvements or changes to the community. Act on viable suggestions when possible.
4. Organize more events like this or just random monthly raffles. These events can create a sense of community and encourage participation.
5. I want more in-depth knowledge of products, like softness and tightness, and how hard it is to maintain or clean them.

@**ToyDemon** probably adding simpler reviewing. It's good when people put in reviews in detail about certain toys but I feel like 90% of people who buy a toy won't put in a review since they'll have to write about it. So instead there could be a list of ways to describe the toy and all you have to do is select several of them to review said toy
KriegisFUBAR ( 7 )
@**ToyDemon** Cleaner UI, its kinda weird to navigate right now. For example a way to cut it down a bit would be to have a "Suggestion Tab" of new or undiscovered toys for instance: Say you're into, soft, and flexible Oral toys, you could mark filter when you make a new account, or change it later on. It could also give you a red notification, showing you deals on products that match that filter, or ones close enough, and maybe even a box you can fill in after you buy a toy you like you can subscribe to a "More like this." With the new UI, I think there's room for a new button that takes you to a "Forum" like board, with specific channels for toys like: Hips, Dolls, onaholes, etc. It can lead to a kind of "Live" review with people recommending each other toys, and telling each other which ones have "X" feature that you can try, or "X" thing to watch out for when you own a certain toy.

@**ToyDemon** The feedback here has been spectacular from what I can see, but there is a niche that is kind of unfulfilled between here, places like reddit, and other forums. I think if there was a single source of truth place to get answers like a discord it might go a long way to getting people the answers and wisdom for the questions they have. Fueling engagement there might be a bit tougher, but I'm sure with how passionate some of the user base is if it was advertised FOS it might collect a good amount of people. If there is already a discord for TD, I apologize I havent seen it before.

1. Add chat features or Q&A for each product so other buyers can get feedback from those who've purchased the item(s) before.
2. Weekly polls would encourage people to participate and take part.
3. Adding videos into the product pages would certainly boost your sales and give members a sense of a premium experience that others (guests) wouldn't get if they're unwilling to join.

1. Votes to bring back old/non-discontinued items into the onahole poll via social media or discussions
2. Small bonuses for people with high up-votes and quality reviews
3. Website donation and rewards at the end of each month/year
4. raffles
5. a "best of" category where the community can vote to rank available onaholes that can change monthly/yearly(can be an option on every toy to vote for it if previously bought)
6. Point gifting between users maybe
7. poll items for "other toys" section
8. Community kick poll to clear out a community agreed "useless item"

I wonder if there could be some sort of incentive for engaging in discussion or community-sourcing answers to questions about various products. I'm thinking something like how google maps will ask you various questions once you've left an additional review of a place or business, and contributing answers to these questions increases your rank on google maps. I think some toydemon-specific analogies would be things like:
- crowd-source ratings for features like durability, ease of cleaning with say 5-10 reward points per answer
- promote discussion topics / reviews featuring new products (or highlighted products) -- maybe through bonus reward points

I think what the site would benefit the most from is a more comprehensive review system. A lot of people will say something is good or bad but not expand much on that. I think a star rating system for each "point" of the product might work better and even the laziest user could complete a review that way. Categories could be: feeling, packaging, smell, quality, and cleaning difficulty.

From what I've experienced from the website so far, I think the three best ways to grow the community and thus incentivize users to post and comment is as follows:
1. Place the COMMUNITY TAB someplace more visible to the naked eye, perhaps alongside Contact and News in the upper right corner of the webpage. As efficient as the thought bubble is in minimizing space for other sections of the webapp, its not something new users are going notice when entering the site for the first time.
2. UPDATE the categories and subcategories located within the NEWS TAB located in the upper right section of the page. Speaking from the perspective of someone who's had some familiarity with the website, I always have to remind myself that the Giveaways subcategory when clicking NEWS hasn't updated since January of 2022. Outside of giveaways, other categories within NEWS such as Fun Posts and Lifestyle are deserving of an update too for users interested in things outside of adult toys.
3. Include a daily bonus for users who frequent the website to post and comment. The bonuses can be anything from Reward Points to an unlocked perk such as Free Shipping after having commented for x amount of days, weeks, or months!

@**ToyDemon** Implementing a mission or quest system when you sign up could help. After a certain amount of completed missions, the user could be rewarded. Some of those quest could be replying to user questions, or posting an actual question regarding TD or their purchases. This could also allow a chance to implement community mods to watch the posts to make sure they are actual topics and not spam. Other quests could be adding thing to their wish list or viewing certain categories. It is difficult to think of things as the TD community is effectively based off of one topic, but these are some ideas.

What would you change or add to the TD Community to encourage others to participate?
Well, this is a connected graphical world so I would 1st
add a community chat room where people can talk about sex and post sex related topics. Maybe have a question and answer room for topics like masturbation, doll sex, human sexual relations and acceptance of your products. Hosted by a hot AI girl of course.
2nd. A room for posting short videos or pictures might be too graphic but I think if you did a tasteful AI doll poses or feature AI pictures women using your products it would draw a lot, a lot of viewers. Just look at how popular AI girls are on YOUTUBE and other sites.
Peace, Byrd_USA

I'm new to the site still so I don't have much to say. It's been a little difficult to navigate the site at times as is learning about things such as this thread. I only became aware of it by checking on the status of my shipment and saw suggested threads off to the side. It might be interesting if there was a "toy of the month" which is determined by the number of purchases for the products. Something like that so customers can see what is catching the eye of others.

Maybe a daily point incentive to comment and post?
Or maybe a seperate system to earn the items the coupon codes give, most people go for free shipping so ways to earn the rest could be useful too.

A Community member level system would be great, where regularly making reviews, discussion posts & comments would contribute to that rank. The 100 points/review is nice, but some better incentives to show up to the forum every day would be something like...
- Coupon codes regularly distributed based on your community member level
- Points deposited into your account every month if you maintain high activity
Things that other people are suggesting like video reviews & social media posts could factor into the community member level as well, and maybe it could lead to some more interesting perks like higher voting strength in the onahole poll, or prioritized suggestions for the poll.
On the topic of the community tab, the categories seem a bit lacking in variety. In simple terms, it's just onaholes, specific onaholes (Product Discussion), onahole help (Guides), site discussion, and then Everything Else where a cursory look at Latest shows that it's still mainly onahole discussion taking place. There could be discussion categories for the non-onahole products you carry like vibrators or scents, or categories for content that some of the onaholes are based on like AV stars or anime/games. I like talking about onaholes and all, but if there were more spaces for additional discussion topics I could see myself coming around more often.

What would you change or add to the TD Community to encourage others to participate?
1. Only being able to rate if it's a verified purchase is good, but there are items I have and can review but have no purchased through this website.
So if there was still a way that a review would be accessible for others to see would be beneficial for selling the product. (more reviews the better)
2. Being able to Discuss the latest news and items so new and old users can participate, hopefully people will interact and become more interested in said products.

Website suggestions: I notice that the softness filter is not a filter option anymore. I think the softeness filter should return as a filter option. Translate some of the Japanese to English when it comes to graphics and charts. I don't know what is being feature looking at their data chart. For example: Softness, loose, tight, sentative (I only know because there's a English version of the chart on the internet forums).
TB community suggestions: I think what your'e doing now is good by creating space for folks to interact, for you to collect feedback and for you to promote items and give aways. It's all very positive.

@**ToyDemon** Honestly, just more pictures and videos of the toys themselves. What is on the box, can be good, but it would be much more helpful to see the product itself, not just box art. I know there are videos for some of the more popular toys, and it would be great to see them for more products.

I think the "Product Discussion" should be a more prominent feature on product pages. Very few products have any comments on them, and I think it's partly because of how hidden away the discussion tab is.
You can also try dedicating space for the latest and/or hottest product discussion pages on the homepage or maybe the main community page. I think the current product description is also too hidden away.

@**ToyDemon** I think adding a news section that talks about Japanese adult toy companies.
There has to be some kind of trivia or interesting history of a specific toy company or a toy.
Like one of those youtube documentaries, but it's about onaholes.

1. a yearly, monthly, weekly, etc "most highly reviewed" or "most popular" sections. Can be changed to fit the company's best interests.
2. Possibly giving points out for every dollar spent. Once people accumulate enough points they can buy things with them.
3. Have a more visible community tab for people to engage with each other. There can also be "top posts" that show up or "popular posts".
4. Videos of toys if possible and I'm not sure if you guys have it but a way to add images to people's posts.

One this I would change would be the use of a larger advertisement for the giveaways. I'm sure that there are many who don't participate because the the ad isn't as eye catching as it could potentially be.

Considering how many people use PC, I find that there is quite a bit of dead space on the sides of the home page.
Some of this space could be used right from the top of the home page to display the latest, featured or hot topics like they are shown here on the community page.
The space given to the community is just one line and has to be scrolled down for quite a bit to find.
Using the negative space on the right could be better for users to quickly see a way to engage the community.
I also agree with others' suggestions to use part of the newsletter to promote community engagement and discussion.

Why not add more lady toys? I know TD is mostly focused towards guys toys, but perhaps more ladies would feel more encouraged to join the community if there were more lady products? Also, perhaps a sections for toys for trans people?
The ability to post images; I feel that would definitely encourage others to participate in the community more since there would be a lot more to look at.

On the old website, Wish List items that you purchased would be marked with a green check mark.
On the new site, Wish List items that you purchased are NOT marked with a green check mark.
This is very frustrating -
It means you run the risk of ordering something you already have
When shopping here, one key step is to check my Wish List to see if any of the items are on sale/discounted
I would typically, on old site, leave my purchased Wish List items on the list with their green check marks for awhile as a reminder that I might want to write a review on them in the future
Now it is highly frustrating because you have to actually go to the main item page to see the green check mark that tells you that you already have it in your collection
TD - Please make it so that when you are reviewing your Wish List(s) that a green check mark displays next to any items on that list that you have already purchased (this was part of the old site that got lost in the shuffle with your site upgrade).

I think what would make me participate in the community would be ease of access. It’s not every day I feel like jumping on to buy more toys, when I am in the mood to try something new. I generally look around the posts looking at what’s regarded highly and then the reviews.
I would say if you could link a product to a post, like the “@“ system it would make getting the info I need and other people want to hear faster and more comfortable/casual.
I like to draw, it’s my hobby. I think if you got an OC designed by the community that culminates your design behind the site, it would not only be more alluring, but interactive.
^ idea from Otona
As a side not making e-mails a little more apparent would be nice.

i dont think this exists but some sort of community tier list based on categories such as stimulation, edging potential, cleanability etc. online recommendations are usually unreliable because most reviewers are paid to recommend products that brands have paid them beforehand (such that the recommendations are actually advertisements)

@**ToyDemon** Maybe put a 'Community Forum' tab at the top of the frontpage next to Polls instead of keeping it semi-hidden away at the bottom? and personally when I came to this website I looked at the forums layout and to me, it was a little messy, like it was just all pasted on the screen together, maybe you could make it have a cleaner layout to organize posts and have them pop out from each other with slightly bigger text
Just a 2nd thought, to encourage posters interactions, you could award a small amount of capped daily/weekly points when you help out posters with their questions. Like if you engage with 5 unique posts over the span of a week you gain 100 points for example.

I would love to better know the members of ToyDemon, and how ToyDemon itself runs, like BTS stuff. I think it would definitely help me connect more with ToyDemon and the people behind it. I would also love more forum type stuff, where its easier for people to suggest and talk to each other, and maybe even a form of featured forums/posts/reviews that people have made. Overall though, the site is very clean and easy to navigate, just more social features would be nice. :)

First, for thr poll I vosit this site 50/50 PC and mobile depending on where I happen to be.
As for the the community, I haven't been here too long so I may not have the best insight, but a more involved review system might help. Other shops (example: amazon) of any kind tend to have individual scores for certain aspects that make it easier to find more details outside of "it's okay 3.5☆" in a post. Cleanup, durability, pic vs real appearance, etc. Giving people a guide line of sorts helps a lot in getting people to speak!

My suggestion is more to the community itself:
It's important to leave a review, even if it's just clicking a few stars.
I don't see anything that could be changed by ToyDemon, itself, as there's a lot of quality in the products offered and communication by you.

Maybe a new tab next to the Poll Tab that brought people to a showcase of new reviews or discussions on products. It would allow users to get more info on items. Users could upvote what they've liked, or found most helpful. To encourage posting quality reviews and starting discussions, at the end of the month the most upvoted post poster could earn a tiny bonus.

@**ToyDemon** I think a more fleshed out rating system would be nice for the site, that way people can look for aspects of a toy that fit their tastes, like firmness ratings or even the creativity of an onahole. As others have pointed out, some behind the scenes stuff would be a new type of post for users to interact with. Email notifications for questions/discussions tied to products a user owns/has wishlisted would make it easier to find topics that are relevant to them and to respond to users who are asking for advice in a timely manner. A section under the product page that provides links to trusted blogs, reviews, and other information of a particular product to be added alongside the details, reviews, and discussion tabs. Getting feedback, opinions, and other information of a particular toy outside of Toydemon is something that I feel would help users purchasing decision of toys that lack user reviews or are either out of stock or discontinued on this site.
Also some sort of option to sort discounted items by "recently added," every time I go there I see the same items like onatsuyu lotion and ZXY. Sorting be "new" only organizes items by added dates, doesn't tell me if an older item gets added to the sales list unless if I'm doing something wrong.

@**ToyDemon** Further increasing the reliability of reviews by rewarding those that do the best job in the review process or that provide more detailed and precise info for fellow buyers. Increasing the visibility of discussion for specific products, as of now they require a bit more effort to find for a potential customer, and the more info available from other customers means less hesitancy when buying at least for me.

@**ToyDemon** I often see community questions asked but rarely answered. Partly it may be due to the community section or product questions not being very visible but also there isn't awareness of these posts and questions. What I would change in the TD community to encourage others to participate would be to post on your social medias. If you post any deals, sales, or upcoming toys you’ve got to your Twitter/X, you might get people to converse there. It could draw more attention to the TD site and maybe sell some more products. And with more people on the website, there will probably be more engagement.

@**ToyDemon** I think it would be nice to see the average score a user has given across all their product reviews at a glance, so users can go compare against other reviewers/reviews.

@**ToyDemon** I think that a pretty big thing that could help improve interaction between users on this site would be more discussion. I think most of the time, people only see the reviews and can only make assumptions based on those, but I think an actual active discussion around an onahole would increase the amount of comments on a post or something.

@**ToyDemon** I wish more products did what Tenga did and had a product demo, but I recognize that isn't available for ToyDemon to do on their own without wasting resources or toys. As for what we can do for community participation, I think the review system could use a revamp with different common categories like texture, softness, suction, etc. that could get more variety with comment reviews.

You can add games similar to Angry Birds, flying birds hit the product, and show the elasticity of the product within the website through the shake of the product.
And I'd like to have emojis to choose from.

@**ToyDemon** "What would you change or add to the TD Community to encourage others to participate?"
Honestly, maybe some surveys, stuff like what this post is doing, and maybe communities? It'd be interesting.

@**ToyDemon** I think decreasing the "time" it takes to reach the community section of the website. This could be adding a community tab at the top of the page on the right side of the navigation bar would be a nice. I think the current community icon doesn't really stand out but moving it to the nav bar with the current functionality could bring more attention to the community section of TD.

@**ToyDemon** I agree with the user that suggested the Discord server, I've seen multiple online stores bring together their community with a Discord server. The added benefit of doing it on Discord is that people are more comfortable with the popular social media platforms, and you can create different channels that will keep people interested
Bruticus56 ( 708 )
@**ToyDemon** Honestly I would take away the downvote button. There is so little participation that you don't want the few that do to get discouraged just because someone else disagrees anonymously.

@**ToyDemon** I think we definitely need more product pictures. I'm not sure how easy it would be to do that given the volume of product on the site but I think it would vastly improve the buyer's info and help significantly when making decisions about our next onaholes purchase.

Dunno. It's not like wanking is a major life passion, how do you grow a community around that? Plus incentives to post more usually only wind up encouraging low-quality/high-quantity posting.
What was your impetus behind creating it? What benefits were you expecting from it?

@**ToyDemon** Since it can be hard to find specific information on a product, I think adding a Q&A section to each product will help encourage people to participate more.

Maybe add a friends list so it can be a more social thing to gift toys or get notified if someone adds to their wishlist

@**ToyDemon** Definitely add some incentives for commenting, posting discussion posts. These monthly giveaways are a good example of how well incentivizing feedback through giveaways works. I think you just need to expand on that. Not a lot of people are loud and proud about their sex toy usage though so it's inherently hard.

Something I always struggle to find is pictures of the toys I’m interested in. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has tried looking up irl pictures of toys I’ve been interested in. We definitely need more pictures, maybe from you guys or the customers themselves. Maybe some extra rewards points for a picture in a review. I sometimes hesitate on my purchase because I don’t see enough of the toy.

@**ToyDemon** More givaways like this or at least discount specials

@**ToyDemon** The giveaways are already a great way to get people to engage with the website, similar methods may help in that way. A referral system to reward people is a good example of that.

The way I see it the TD Community is pretty great, just has some nitpickings for when I want to see the reviews pretty easy to miss if there's a new user.

@**ToyDemon** Adding comprehensive reviews on new or most popular products on a weekly basis.

Psychologically, I find that the best way to increase engagement and participation when it comes to anything is to give some sort of incentive toward potential participants.
In the case of ToyDemon, maybe you could:
- make a referral program to have the existing userbase bring in a new audience.
- give small increment of points for providing product reviews.
- generate article/video content in which you can hide codes that equate to points.
Also, this is a bit off-topic but I think working towards making onaholes (or male sex toys for that matter) less stigmatized and perceived as a more of an acceptable and normal thing would go a long way to have people engage in this hobby which subsequently would allow people to talk more openly and freely about it.

@**ToyDemon** If the website adds more ways to earn points, then more people will definitely participate more. There isn't really incentive to participate. Also, the topics in the community seems to be more about recommendation. We're here to look at toys not so much talk about the latest trending topic.

@**ToyDemon** maybe more engagement could get more rewards? I saw someone suggest 1 heart = 1 point. I feel that members that engage more should deserve a little something
BingChilling ( 30 )
@**ToyDemon** I personally think the TD community is OK. The community system is like Reddit; you get upvote and downvote buttons, and you can reply anyone you want. So in my opinion, there is nothing else needs to be changed. Just stay what is it right now.

More ways to earn points to encourage people to participate in the community would be nice for everyone. perhaps every heart you get on a post you make on community posts you get 1 point of credit (1 heart = 1 pt) So if you do make helpful comments for people with questions or community topics that are useful you get rewarded for doing so.

@**ToyDemon** I think there needs to be a reason to give people the incentive to participate more on TD. For example, a good marketing idea is to give an additional inexpensive item for a purchase with the condition of leaving a comment, making a rating, or even participating in a current event like the monthly giveaways.

As someone who doesn't use the community feature, here are some thoughts worth considering:
1. Consider improving the UI. The first thing that comes to mind is the bright white background that is kind of harsh on the eyes. Consider adding a dark mode, or using a shade of gray for a background color. Even a light shade of gray would feel a lot more comforting.
2. Make the community more visible on the front page. I was directed here form the giveaway link on the front page, but barring that, the only way I can see to easily access the community page is to click the chat bubbles and then select "Community Page". I wouldn't be surprised if first time visitors or people who rarely use the site mistake that icon as a way to contact customer support, or interact with a bot if they have questions. Many sites use chat bubble icons for that, or for DMs. My suggestion would be to put it to the left of the contact and news buttons.
3. Add DMs, especially for product discussion. Considering the nature of this store, some people may not be comfortable discussing certain things in a public forum.
