Community Giveaway #9: $20 Reward Points for 3 Winners! "Your worst shopping experience?"
Thanks to everyone that participated in the giveaway #8. Three randomly drawn winners were awarded with $20 in reward points. It was a good member provided topic and obviously give us a good insight into what everyone looks for when shopping online.
This week lets switch it up a little bit. In the old forum days we've had a couple of post call "Fraud or Not" where we detailed stories of fraud that we encountered from dishonest sources, obviously those stories are told from the our point of view as a seller and there were a lot of interests among forum members to read about them.
Along the line of thoughts we thought it'd be interesting to hear what's are some of your worst shopping experiences (physical or online store)?
How to Enter:
1. Upvote this post.
2. Answer the following question:
"Tell us about a horrible shopping experience you've encountered either online or physically"
3. Upvote the stories that you like the most.
Prize(s):
$20 in Reward Points
The top three (3) stories with the most upvote will win the prize, if there is a need of a tie-breaker it will be decided by a random draw on 7/10/2020 @ 12pm CDT.
Disclaimers:
* One entry per person, any account spamming will result in disqualification.
** You must have a toydemon account in order to post in the community.
*** Points from this contest will not expire.

@**TD** I'm so glad for this opportunity to be able to voice out and share a scam company, I don't even need the reward if I can just get this word across.
Let me start off by calling out the fraudulent competitor company name that no one would expect to hear this from because they are trying to cover my shopping experience, by "OtonaJP".
Actually, I hope to get this word spread so this company pays for scamming their loyal customer. Sending a different item than advertised? This is unacceptable.
-Order reference back in 2018 November-
I placed an order during sale period for "Puni Ana Miracle DX"($400) and after long wait(3 months) I had received "Puni Ana DX Fuwatoro"($100). I e-mailed about it with pictures and proof of purchase, but they ignored me until I complained on their public Twitter post. They instructed me to send back for correction, so I did with tracking provided by the post office. It apparently got lost after it left the country, which tracking showed that package left the country properly and is no longer held responsible on my country's post office end. From then on OtonaJP checked with Japan Post and confirmed that it didn't arrive, so they won't refund nor give any sort of compensation. I still tried to convince them that it was their fault for sending me an incorrect item in the first place, so I need some sort of compensation that equals to my purchase. My e-mail was blocked and they removed all comments/reviews from me. I reported to ICPEN(International Consumer Protection and Enforcement Network) with the hopes of catching them for this incident. Although, I had no luck and still helpless until today as of 07/05/2020. My $400 just gone in the air to the company's bank on top of my efforts to communicate over the past 2 years, filing reports, proving, making calls to post office international department, and just mentally exhausting. I sincerely this company dies and this is a curse I have never had to put onto someone ever in my entire life that I mean.
Please help me out guys... my voice is so small and I can't do anything if OtonaJP simply ignores me.
For 2 years I've been trying to get these guys to compensate what I paid for and have never got because of their mistake.
If you guys shop from both ToyDemon and OtonaJP, please boycott OtonaJP forcefully until they fix their attitude towards this kind of incident.
Thank you guys so much for reading and please share to catch this thief company.

@cbacbacba yikes couldn’t you have filed a chargeback?
From a different thread someone mentioned their terms and conditions were bad. This just sounds like a nightmare!

@cbacbacba So a while back we were on reddit just looking at what people were saying or if anything that we can help them with. One guy also mentioned that he had also ordered Puni Ana Mircale DX from them. But months have passed and they kept telling them that there's issue with stock or manufacturer delay or something I don't exactly remember.
At the time out of curiosity, I looked at our inventory records, we were able to get consistent stock from Japan averaging once a month for about 20-25 units each time and had them available for sale. Told the guy this info and he said that he was finally able to persuade them to ship it out.
This is why we wrote in our blog to order domestically if you can even if it's not from us. Save yourself some customs trouble and for the peace of mind.

@**ToyDemon** I've always preferred shopping through ToyDemon over OtonaJP, they were just an alternative. as if I remember correctly the product was already all sold out from you guys and it mentioned on the page that date of restocking/shipping isn't guaranteed. Busiest time of the year in November... From my shopping experiences, you guys definitely have the best price, shipping fee, delivery time frame, customer service responsiveness, and product availability. Never a time I encountered problem with you guys. I guess if I am able to win this giveaway, I can just reward myself with a small toy... Thanks for the side info and replies.

@Jonarby Thanks, I didn't even bother going over their terms and condition since it's a common sense for any normal business to hold 100% full responsibility for their mistake and compensate as their response. I mean, this happening can be simply put as "Selling items that is different than advertised" a complete fraud/illegal act!! like seriously? lol... That's like the basic of the basic when operating a commercial business. This company really needs to go.... I appreciate the empathy!

@**TD**
I can't recall a bad online shopping experience. I mean, I've had products shipped to me that were broken when they arrived at my house but I was able to return/exchange them with no problems, and most of my other experiences can't be called "horrible" rather than "lackluster"
So I guess I'll use my story of being racially profiled around 15 years back.
So my friend group (most of whom I still hang out/keep up with to this day) are a bunch of multi-cultural idiots. Name any race, ethnicity, nationality, religious background... Our group covers it. We pretty much never unanimously agree on anything, but we have each other's backs when it counts.
Our group of ten were hanging out at the mall, (you know, back when malls were still alive and/or cool to hang out at) and we were buying stuff from the many stores, goofing around in the arcades, and just generally having fun. We head our way to Hot Topic and I see this awesome TMNT wallet on display, and it had a chain attached to it too! Being a teenager and chains were the hot thing back then, I immediately bought it. I also needed a new wallet because the one I was using was basically falling apart.
After I paid for it, I put it to use. Of course, with no garbage cans around, I didn't want to just toss the plastic covering/holster it came with on the ground. I decided to put it in my back pocket to throw away later as not everyone was done shopping in the store. It was sticking out of my back pocket. I'm sure you can all guess where this is heading to.
Anyways, we were still hanging around in the store cause a few of our friends were still browsing the shelves or waiting on the line to buy their stuff. I'm talking with two of my friends about dumb stuff so my back is pretty much facing the counters. I'm assuming one of the employees saw me in this position. Me being of the "dark white" variety probably raised some red flags in his mind so he walked towards me. Of course I didn't know he was coming towards me because I can't see him.
I get why he did the thing he did, but there are many ways to handle situations like this. He simply could have asked me "hello sir, are you ready to check out" and I could have answered "oh no, I already bought my item but thanks" showed him my receipt, and everything would have been cool. In hindsight, I also could have asked a cashier to throw it away for me but for some reason, I didn't think about that. Heck, if he didn't even want a confrontation, he could have contacted mall security and let them do their jobs. The thing is that he handled it in the worst way possible.
Suddenly, I feel a hand on my shoulder (you should never touch customers BTW unless they give you permission to), and as I'm turned around, he aggressively asks of me "You need to return that." He of course thinks I was stealing the wallet. Not even a mere second later, my entire group just blows up on the guy. And like I said, we're a multi-cultural group. We got Whites, Asians, Hispanics, Arabs, Jews, and so on and so on in this group, with me being the Black guy. They went in on this dude, a group of nine people just tearing into this employee. We were able to defuse the situation after the employee who checked me out vouched for me and I showed him my receipt. We did leave soon after that whole debacle, with my friends who didn't buy anything or were waiting on line decided not to buy anything leaving without a purchase.
Even though overall the night was good, it just sucks to be put in that situation even though I was doing the right thing the entire time. That moment did breed some insecurity issues that I suffered through during my high school and college years. I'm arguably the least threatening Black guy you'd ever meet visually but I'm still put in situations like that. As I said, I understand why it happened, but it sucks that a dozen bad eggs have to ruin it for the rest of us.

@Belmar You know, besides the aggression he showed me and the way he handled the situation. But what do I know?
Belmar ( 296 )
@wanderingmidget You were there and you know what happened, your subjective feeling about it might be perfectly valid. I know nothing about it except what you wrote. It sounds like you put merchandise in its original packaging in your pocket in the store. I sounds like you were in a group of ten and the employee was alone, or at least fewer than TEN. How do you think that employee felt?
For the past eighty years every single black guy, every single day of his life, has been screwed over by payroll taxes and social security (do the math). There are real and massive racial problems in this country, and there are also trivial and imaginary ones.

wanderingmidget ( 272 )
@Belmar The employee wasn't alone, which I stated. I also stated that I understand why he confronted me in the first place. That isn't the issue. The entire point to take from my story is how he handled the situation, which he handled poorly. I even stated better ways that the person could have handled it. And please, don't call other people's problems "trivial and imaginary" just because there are other issues that are more serious. That's peak whataboutism.
Belmar ( 296 )
@wanderingmidget
Firstly, what do you mean "other people's problems"? How have you managed to conclude that I am in some different group than you?
I said alone or fewer than 10. Did you greatly outnumber the employees, or not? Did more than one accost you? I ask again, how do you think that employee felt? I acknowledged that your subjective feeling about what happened might be valid. I have no idea from what you wrote if what happened was trivial or imaginary. And I will say again there is nothing in what you wrote to suggest there was any racial motivation on the part of the employee.
As for the retort of whataboutism, there are also the risks of crying wolf.
In order for it to have been whataboutism, I would have to have said something like "whatabout retail employees having one of the highest injury rates amongst workers in the US?" Or how about "What is more likely, an injury to a retail employee by 10 members of the public, or an injury to 10 members of the public by a retail employee?" Whataboutism occurs when someone tries to deflect from the topic and hand by changing the subject. Which is exactly what happened when you brought up whataboutism.
And just out of curiosity, have you had a bad shopping experience with a sex toy?

So people have mentioned that they don’t like that giveaway is random. So here we are going to try by upvotes.
However, please refrain from registering new accounts to upvote and downvote.
If this doesn’t work out well, we will not do it again.

@**ToyDemon** The issue here is that it seems that a very small number of people are coming back to vote, they're just making their own comments, maybe upvoting a single post and than forgetting about it. Maybe it'll work out, but personally I far prefer the randomized contests. This winning based on how many up votes a post has doesn't feel as fair for everyone who's participating as only few people are actually going to be upvoting.
I'll give a great example. The top 3 posts right now have 2 upvotes, one of them from me (I'm coming back and upvoting cool comments) my post has 1 upvote, presumably the same person who also upvoted the top 3 posts that I up voted as well, I'm not salty about my post only having a single upvote, I'm just worried that this type of contest requires a certain amount of participation that most people simply aren't willing to do.
Just my 2cents.
Side note: a fun contest idea would be for people to describe their ideal onahole.

The problem, as we see it, is not that people don't come back to vote or anything, the problem we have as we have been in business for 12 years, is that people don't bother to read.......
Just look at this giveaway for example. I bet you a lot of the users commenting in here and others reading, don't even know that this week is based on upvotes. They post their experience and don't even bother to even upvote their own comments.
This is something we have always dealt with as a shop. We can plaster it on the banner, have 10 articles listing how things work. Still today we have customers asking us where to put in Coupon Codes.........I mean you literally can't get click on Checkout without going past the coupon code section.....
So it is what it is. We will never know until we try it and once we know it doesn't work, we won't do it again.

@**TD** Worst shopping experience has to have been from good ol' GameStop. I received a duplicate game I already owned as a gift and was told they had ordered it from GameStop.
So went to the store to exchange the sealed, unopened dupe game for something else. After waiting in line for a good 15min, told the cashier (who was also the manager) the story - Dupe game, was a gift, no receipt, wanted exchange.
The guy asked if I had a receipt, completely glazed over... So I repeated myself. After hearing no receipt and inspecting the unopened game, looked at me, said they didn't get it from here, and to exit the store and open it, then bring it back in. IE take my unopened game, and turn it into a used trade in (the guy of course did NOT mention that was his intention). I asked, knowing the answer, if I'd get full credit, to which the guy chuckled. Complete ***hole.
Took my game to a Walmart, no question asked after 'gift' and got something I wanted. Haven't been back to a GameStop since. Place is so terrible nowadays.
Thanks and Gluck all!

@Yattebaba GameStop is trash. I hate how they treat opened games from them as brand new but when you do the same it’s not new. It’s BS.
Best Buy was my go to when they still had the gamers club discounts. Now I just by digital.

@**TD** My worst shopping experience so far was paying like $150 for the Puni Virgin 3200 and having it break apart after only a month! Really affected the way I view more pricey hips and how long they last. I wasn’t being gentle with it but I also wasn’t trying to break it either.
I have a video of it in my Onahole Overview I posted to the community forums. Super sad about it!!

@Belmar if you look at our post closely we want people to share their “shopping experience”.
Let me ask you this instead. Let’s say if you bought an onahole from us and it broke after you used it. Was your shopping experience with us bad or was the product bad?
If the prior was a bad shopping experience. Basically all 1 star reviews of products are bad shopping experiences? If you contacted us and we never bothered to respond to you then yes you can consider the shopping experience bad due to bad customer service. Not just simply because the product did not live up to your expectations therefore the shopping experience is bad.
I just wanted to clarify so they can post what we are asking for in our question so they can be considered in the giveaway.

@**ToyDemon** You took my comment way too seriously. I do not mean to interfere with your giveaway in any way. Sorry!
Maybe a clarification that you wanted to know about shopping experience *for sex toys* would be good. Seems like you shouldn't have to point that out, really.

@Belmar We didn't mention that it has to be a sex toy experience, just any general shopping experience. So it could be interesting to hear and for us to note and prevent us from doing the same thing.

@**TD** Worst shopping experience has to be going to a Radio Shack and trying to buy anything back in the day. You just get swarmed by customer representatives, everything is overpriced, and they try and scam you with “warranties or insurance” on the product to get you even more screwed over.
Most of the employees also dont know anything about electronics!

@**My worst experience shopping for “adult items” was one of my first. It also felt like it was going to be my last sex toy purchase but luckily the internet intervened, making it easy and (relatively) anonymous, while sites like TD made it pleasurable and worthwhile.
So, many years ago long before I met TD, I walked into the local XXX Adult shop. You know the one, the little building with no windows on the fringe of town, probably tucked away between the Army Surplus and the used car auction. Anyway, I walked in to purchase my first real sex toy, assuming that they sold devices that felt pleasurably similar to having sex. After uncomfortably browsing for awhile I took my selection to the cashier. He was watching a row of ancIent CCTV monitors, presumably policing the rentable Private Booths somewhere deeper in the back of the store. To be fair, he ended up being genuinely friendly and talkative. And loud, for a place where nobody else was talking or even acknowledging each other. As he was about to bag up my purchase, in an attempt to be helpful, he noisily opened my purchase and a plastic pack of C batteries from behind the counter. As he loaded the batteries into the corded control unit, he pointed to the huge “NO RETURNS!’ sign and cheerfully said’ “$60 isn’t cheap, let’s make sure it works for you before you take it out of the store”. This was practical and thoughtful, in retrospect, but at the time it was definitely not worth the embarrassment of having every eye in that store on me and a hard, almost flesh-colored rubber pussy that made an impossibly loud whirring noise as it slowly gyrated and flopped on the counter. Eventually, I took my repackaged device home to learn that it was another complete waste of money, like most of the toys sold in the US at that time, that was too awkward and rigid to be even vaguely comfortable, let alone pleasurable.
A few years later, I discovered the Fleshlight online, and ended up trying all 3 different sleeves. This was awesome until I happened upon a site called ToyDemon and I became blissfully aware of the Japanese sex toy industry, and the rest is history. Thanks again TD for proving that not all toys for men have to be useless novelties!
My "worst" shopping experience is buying some butt stuff on Amazon and it came in an absolutely clear plastic box that the mailman had the pleasure to wrap it before delivering it to me. Now the whole post office knows about my debauchery.

I won’t name this retailer. Let’s just say some large companies just don’t give a ****. I ordered a PS4 Pro earlier last year. What I got was cheap earphones. Great… First phone call, they wanted to double check if I really didn’t get the PS4. LOL. I’m not brain dead. I know what a PS4 looks like. It clear that there warehouse has very poor QC. I was offer a reshipment of the PS4 or a refund. I choose the PS4 however I was immediately told it was out of stock. Why offer the option then? Okay, refund it is. 1 month later. No refund. I made call and they promises me it was be process ASAP. PS4 is back in stock! They won’t ship it to me because I already choose refund. Grrr… 2 month later. No refund. I called again, more promises. Ready to call my credit card company to file dispute but i'll hold back. 3 month later. No refund. File a complaint with BBB. Finally got refund. Worst customer service.
TL;DR: Ordered PS4 but got earphones instead. Didn’t get refund until 3 months later.

@**TD** I bought something off of eBay (I don't remember what it was, as this was a few years ago) and the seller falsified the shipping/tracking information and claimed that the package had been delivered even though it wasn't. I didn't get a knock, it wasn't in my mailbox, and it wasn't at the post office. There was no "sorry we missed you" note or anything of that nature, I even asked our mail courier and he said they hadn't received any packages for me. When I asked for a refund, it got so bad eBay had to step in. Unfortunately, they sided with him because the record showed it was delivered. Thankfully it wasn't horribly expensive, but it still sucked.

My worst experience is actually recent. I had preordered The Last of Us Part 2 Collectors edition at my local Gamestop, and I was excited for the game until Covid hit. My gamestop eventually closed so I had to call customer service to see what would happen to my Collectors Edition. I called about three weeks before the game came out and they told me they could refund me my deposit and redo the preordered on their website. Only thing is that the collectors edition was sold out months ago and not available online. I told them this and they said the other option was to notify a nearby open store and have my preorder moved to that location so I agreed. Was then told I would receive a call in a couple days to let me know which store I am going to.
Fast forward a week and the only call I had was them letting me know they were working on it. So I called back after another couple of days and still nothing. They only told me that a refund or to wait until the store opened to receive my copy. I asked them that it was a collectors edition I doubt it would be held until the store reopened due to covid. They then told me to call a nearby gamestop to see if they could move my copy, I did and the store manager told me that they were unable to do so since the store is closed and that customer service shouldn't have told me to call them. I called customer service back and they told me to go to the store and call them from their which was dumb, but I did it since I really wanted my copy of the game.
Thursday before the release of the game I was at this gamestop the manager called customer service and was on hold for almost an hour to then have customer service tell him to call his District manager to see what could be done. The manager was very helpful and told me that I wasn't the first to have this issue and has no idea why customer service kept having me in loops calling different people when they could have contacted the district manager and have him move my copy to that store.
Finally Friday comes and I get a call around 7pm from the gamestop saying that they had my copy and I could go pick it up and that I was gonna get my deposit money I had to use towards the game. It was a frustrating couple of weeks to try to get my game but I had finally got it.

@**TD** When looking around for computers or other electronic devices, salesmen usually try to push products that I wasn't asking for. Even though I already had what I wanted in mind and asked them for it, they still try to bring me to other sections and waste my time.
Jonarby ( 592 )
@gboi229 This reminds me of a story my wife told me.
She was going to Bestbuy to get an HDMI cable for her PS4. The guy takes her to a section with like $80 HDMI cables and tries to sell her one. She says "I thought you could get them for like $10" and another employee heard her, grabbed a $10 off the shelf and sold it to her. Apparently the guy trying to sell her the $80 cable looked pisses, presumably he made money off commissions.
I hate what these stores will try to do to get you to waste money. It's one of the many reasons why online stores are absolutely killing retail now a days.

I ordered an onahole from CoolMaleSexToys. Something had gone wrong with the molding process and what I received was a formless blob that had the consistency of cookie dough. I contacted their customer support, and heard nothing back. Needless to say, I never ordered from them again.

@**TD** I was wanting to buy a brand of 3D printer filament from a very reputable brand. The brand was in china but they specifically had resellers all across the world, so I went to the U.S based one.
Purchased about $100 worth of 3D printer filament expecting it to get to my place with no problem.
The shipment date passed and the delivery was marked as delivered, but I had not received my package.
I tried contacting the support via email and text but they did not answer. so after a few days with no reply I contacted their number.
They basically told me I was out of luck, that they were not responsible for the Item not being delivered and there was nothing they could do. I shrugged it off and just marked it down as an expensive loss.
However I really wanted to give this brand a try, so this being the only supplier in the U.S that doesn't require a bulk order I thought I'd give them another chance, so I ordered some more filament, but my order didn't go through. From that point on any time I tried to order their "automated system" marked my purchase as fraudulent, even though I was able to order from them with no problems before,
I contact them again and the guy was even more rude this time and basically told me to fuck off. If you ask me they manually inputted my address or card number into their system as fraudulent because they were unhappy that I asked about why my delivery didn't get there.
I don't know if this is my WORST shopping experience but it's the one that stands out as the most annoying since I was basically blacklisted for asking if they knew why my delivery hadn't showed up or if they could do anything about it. I've also heard similar stories about this supplier from others in the space, which is unfortunate because the brand they are reselling is very reputable.

I was at Sam's Club and the cashier kept hassling me to upgrade my membership before even scanning my stuff, I said no about 4 times. There was like 5 people with full carts behind me staring at me like I was the one holding the line up. Finally I made eye contact with a manager I was familiar with and called him over and I told him I didn't want to upgrade my account, he was like okay that's fine then told the cashier to scan my items, I assume she got perks for an up-sell.

Ordered pizza. After opening the box I discovered nearly half the toppings were missing. You could see spots on the cheese where the toppings was pulled up away from the cheese. I guess the delivery man was hungry and could not hold back. Called restaurant but they would not give me a refund or delivery a new pizza. I regret tipping the driver.
A few months later I went to the restaurant at night and stuck metal epoxy in their front door keyhole and the gaps between the door and frame.

@**TD** Never had a bad shopping experience online shopping for sex toys or condoms. Worst experiences I can think of as a buyer involved being a part of 1 or 2 small group runs of replica props/costume parts on forums but that's always a bit buyer beware dealing with an individual(s) instead of a real store. On the whole my group run experiences were good save for those two. If anyone's really curious I'll relay them but...
My worst experience was as a seller on eBay. I hope this counts but I'll let TD decide. I've had three probably fraud experiences as a seller on eBay between 2014 and this last Feb. I'll focus on the most recent one. So in November of '19 I was selling my three old iPhones. A 5c, 6 and 7. The first two went relatively smooth. Selling the iPhone 7 was a pain. I sold it right away auction style for around $300 to a guy in India. I get the payment, send him the phone and tracking and forgot about it. Xmas week of December the phone is returned t sender unopened due to a Customs issue which was never made clear to me. Because it's Xmas I'm out of town and can't even confirm I have the phone back for another 5 days. The Buyer thinks I'm frayed hm and he opens a dispute and since tracking shows the phone got returned eBay refunded him. At least I have the phone back. The original buyer keeps asking for the phone, I tell him because of customs and his dispute our transaction is effectively over. So I try again. Sell it to another guy this time in Thailand. But buy never pays up. After 2 weeks, I have ebay cancel the transaction. The real fraud come son the actual 3rd time's a charm sale.
End of January '20, I relist a third time and it sells for $250. The original buyer claims he buys it but the final buyer's name/address doesn't match though he is in India. The third buyer messages me both on PayPal and on eBay direct asking me to send the phone to his cousin in New Jersey instead of India as it's a birthday present. I'm happy to skip international shipping so I agree, send it to the address listed and relay tracking. Then late February I get a notice from PayPal that the third buyer is claiming his Credit Card was used without his consent/was stolen and is asking for a chargeback. It went into investigation for 2 weeks and of course... PayPal ruled in the buyer's favor so now I'm out 250 and the phone. I appeal to Visa and PayPal but no luck. Basically despite the fact I had tracking it was not to the address listed for the buyer on PayPal or Ebay.... despite the record of his request on both platforms I send it to an alt. address. Ugh. Now it's possible this guy really did lose his CC number but I highly doubt it. To have pulled this off, the hypothetical crook would have needed not only the third buyer's CC but also access to his PayPal and Ebay accounts. Not saying this is impossible for a good hacker but all three suggest to me a scam from the outset by the original buyer to basically get a free phone. Super frustrating for this to happen right as the world shut down!

@**TD** Worst experience was probably with a phone company that tried to scam my elderly grandparent. I went in there to get my grandparent a new phone and explicitly told them to not add any monthly payment to the plan. And what do you know, the salesman tried to sneakily sell extra monthly payment junk when I walked away for a second to look at phones. They were unapologetic snakes about it to.

I once went to get an oil change at Walmart... I was lazy and didn't want to change it myself, it was the middle of summer and my garage turns into an oven. They finish the oil change and decide to do the point inspection after they rolled my car out.
I see the mechanic rummaging around my car from the waiting room and check to see what he's doing. The guy pulls my air filter out, while the car is running, and tells me I need to change it since it's red. I tell him that I'm using a K&N reusable air filter is naturally red as I rush to turn off my car and he looks at me like I'm an idiot.
I talk to the manager and he doesn't believe me either. I went to their aisle and grabbed another K&N filter. I had to literally show the manager a product they carried in their own store. I got a free oil change, but I would never recommend change their oil at a Walmart.

I wanted to ask sprint about buying a SIM card and if it was a certain type that was compatible for my phone. I was planning to buy it from a physical sprint store later even though I was not using sprint as my main provider. The foreign customer service rep took me for a ride for over an hour and basically tried to trick me into buying their service. I explicitly told him I just wanted info on a product they sell but kept running me along with information he wanted so he could sign me up. I kept refusing and hoping he would eventually answer my questions. He never did

@cbacbacba I'm happy this is the top comment currently as you absolutely deserve to win the $20 and I really do appreciate the warning. I wont be ordering from any non-US site for sex toys due to shipping prices as well as hearing experiences like this. Since ToyDemon has a special order form I don't think I'll need to use another shop, unless something drastically changes.
OtanaJP seems like a horrid company, their terms and conditions literally state they are not obligated to fulfill your order after they've received payment, which means they can literally take your money and run.

My worst experience has been with a sex doll purchase. I had always wanted a doll from this brand (US based), so I ordered one in May 2017. Three years later - still no doll. As many doll companies, this company was / is a micro company - owner and maybe 2-3 employees. Back in 2017, the guy running the company got sick and in 2018 he put the company on sale. I even tried to buy it, but could not get the financing.Later that year, another guy bought the company. The new owner basically is offline (has two businesses), so dolls are in the backseat. 2020 arrived and well, you know, Covid hit... The point is , 3 years later, no doll and no chance for refund or legal action. At least there are 25 others in the same boat...

I was looking for a luxury leather wallet, shopping in an area with multiple high end retailers. Went into Hermes and asked to speak to a sales rep, waited for about 20 minutes in an empty store for someone to come over. Finally spoke to someone and let them know what I was looking for. Completely lackluster responses from the rep, who walked me over to a drawer full of wallets and said here look through this but the wallet you want probably isn't in there. I left immediately and walked down the street to LV and got the perfect experience I expected. customer service and attitude matters!!!!!
