@Bruticus56 my wife is also a huge fan/collector of sailor moon! Maybe I should have thought of that!
@**ToyDemon** Bigbadtoyshore.com is a great place for sailor moon stuff if you are in the states.

@Bruticus56 That's rad! I've been watching a bit of Sailor Moon of late, I'm surprised by how well it holds up. My ex got me into it (she grew up watching it, and we're still friends) and I totally get why it was so big, even though it passed me by a bit.

The most expensive present I've given was a drawing tablet for my friend because the one she used broke and needed a new one. It was around $100 but it's the thought that matters.

The most expensive gift I got was for my wife, I got her a Louis Vuitton purse ($2,000) and a bunch of clothes from White Fox ($1,300) I just put it all in one big box and said I only got her one gift and she had several for me. Most expensive gifts I gave were Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 to each of my parents. Might get them speakers this year.

I love all the presents I received, but one of my favorite and most memorable ones was when I was young teenager I really really wanted a DS Lite and my family was really poor and couldn't afford it, but my Aunt & Uncle had one their kids kinda outgrew, and was not being used, and for Christmas they gave it to me, which was a huge deal, and meant so much to me.
The most expensive gift I've ever given would have to be a home speaker system for my dad. It wasn't the highest end one, but was still a very nice one that was around $200 on sale

@**ToyDemon** Best present I've ever gotten so far was a custom mechanical keyboard. I think its very thoughtful and heartwarming for a student of mine to have entirely designed and built something with me in mind. The most expensive gift I've ever given is probably a flat screen tv to my dad that retails for about $500 give or take.

The best present I've ever gotten? That's tough. Off the top of my head I'd have to go with a copy of Golden Sun on GBA. It was my first experience with JRPGs and I sunk hundreds of hours into it. It sparked a lifelong love for the genre and still, twenty years later, it continues to be in my top 3 JRPGs of all time.
The most expensive present I've ever bought was a snowblower for my father-in-law. He always went out of his way to help me with any project, even when it was beyond his skill level. At the time, he was still recovering from a hip replacement and strenuous activity was out of the question. I needed to return a favor for all those he provided me and the upcoming winter was forecasted to be brutal. The choice was obvious. The $1100 was hard for me to swallow at the time but to this day, every time he uses it, he calls to say how well it ran and how thankful he is to have it. Very few things in my life have been worth the cost of admission quite like that snowblower.

@**ToyDemon** my parents bought me a 5'×4' painting of Wolves in nature. It was seriously realistic and it taught me to appreciate the fine arts.
The most expensive gift I've bought for someone was probably an alternative art card for the card game my friends and I play. I didn't pay market price but the fact I think that makes it count is that the card I gave away for free was valued at least $250 at the time. Stuff like that ain't easy to get in the trading card game world, especially after scalpers entered the picture!

The best christmas gift I ever received was a puppy when I was 8. I still remember the excited barks coming from her 'wrapped' (under a blanket with a bow) kennel, as well as the banging of her tail as it smacked against it. Her tail was like a club and could, and did, stagger linemen in high school.
The most expensive gift I ever gave was when my younger brother graduated from college. I surprised him by getting him a very, very rare, collectable item that he had wanted for years on an online videogame we played together. At the time said item was worth about $700.

-What is the best Xmas present you have ever gotten? If you don't celebrate Xmas, then best present you received ever?
Probably my laptop. Or my iPad. These were gifts because of school and these are things I use every day.
-What is the most expensive present you have ever given someone? To whom? How much was it?
I have given my partner a Tiffany necklace and it was not easy to drop that much money, but the look on her face receiving it was worth it.

@**ToyDemon** Most recently getting the Quest 2 VR for Christmas was the best gift I've gotten since I'm able to immerse into travel destinations (around the world and in space) I may never be able to go to. Most expensive gift given was a $800 computer I got for my brother who had a very old one.

Best presents I got was from 2021 Christmas. I finally got some OG anime merch from series back in the days. I got Shaman King Manga The Full Volumes which I've been waiting to read and rewatch the re-adaptation; Zatch Bell Merch and I also have the Training Cards as well from back in the days; Sailor Moon shirts for me, my sis, and my aunt since were all fans, and many more! It was an amazing Christmas but what I was waiting for was to open my Pero Ice Cream Onahole for Christmas and I enjoyed myself that Christmas. But of course I got it from you guys ToyDemon and I'm still proud to be a buyer from you guys. I hope to continue buying from y'all!

The best present I've ever recieved was a Nintendo64 when I was younger; me and my cousin had never celebrated Christmas before so we went all over the place picking up spare change and doing chores to get money to buy a present.
We both earned about 120$ over the course of one year and our uncle helped cover the difference for each other for our Christmas gift; they bought me a Nintendo64 and I bought them a Sega Dreamcast; we'd play Smash Bros on the N64 and House Of The Dead 2 on the dreamcast all the time
The most expensive gift I've gotten wasn't a single purchase so not exactly a "gift" but rather "gifts," but I bought the parts for a tower my ex was looking for so she could finish her build; if I remember correctly it totalled to around 750ish~ USD

Wow, this one is hard. Jewrey and clothes are nice but I guess the 1st christmas I spent in Thailand, my wife surprised me & took me to Pee Pee Island.
What is the most expensive present you have ever given someone?
I bought my wife matching Rolex she picked out for her birthday. For Xmas I got tickets & took my kids to the U of M New Years day bowl game in FL.
As you can see from my comments, I prefer events to gifts. You forget what you've gotten over the years but vacations and time spent with loved ones you remember your whole life even if you can't remember which year it was looking back. Peace, Byrd

@**ToyDemon** Sure do. I spend time with my folks watching absolute garbage movies and having a great time of it overall. We're all a little old for presents, but it's lovely spending time around the people who're important in your life. I feel privileged to say that my family means more to me than almost anything else in the world, and Christmas gives me a real chance to celebrate that, albeit in an unconventional way.

It’s been a While since I received anything for Christmas, Ann’s I have a hard time remembering whether I received a gift for Christmas, or my birthday a couple months earlier or just randomly. I’d say one thing I specifically remembering getting for Christmas was this Pokémon card deck with Omanyte and Aerodactyl in it, so I’d say that’s my favorite.
Most expensive gift is probably this $150 smart garden thing that I got my mom for Mother’s Day. I haven’t bought anything for anyone for Christmas except ice cream.

Question 2: The most expensive present I gave to someone was this limited edition Pokemon flask bottle I got from the Pokemon Center long ago. It was for a close friend and he still uses it to this day. I usually like giving out presents that has an everyday use instead of a one time use. :)

As for the most expensive present I’ve bought anyone were electronic toothbrushes for my parents, which were $100~ each at the time. They were pretty shocked I dropped that much $$$ for toothbrushes but were pleasantly surprised as they’ve never had electric toothbrushes before and loved them ever since.
*Note: Couldn’t answer the poll as I can see the results already, but if I were to choose I’d obviously choose option 1, much like everyone else haha

@**ToyDemon** The best Christmas present I got was a blue ps4 controller when I was younger. Used it everyday till the day I spilled coffee on it by accident... The most expensive thing I've given was a brand new Apple Watch to my mom who wanted one for a long time so tried my best to get her one till the day came.

The most expensive gift I have ever gotten someone was a bottle of vodka to my college roomate about 20$

@**ToyDemon** Honestly I've had a lot of great presents but the one that holds the most sentimental value was a pack of Yu-Gi-Oh cards that I got from my parents when I was really young! It was the first Christmas present I remember getting from them, and it's extra heartwarming because my family are immigrants from a country that doesn't really celebrate Christmas and we didn't have a lot of money at the time. They just wanted to give their child the wonder of Christmas that other kids also celebrated :)
The most expensive present I've given is a pair of headphones for a sibling that was around 200! Nothing super fancy but always great when you're able to help out someone in your family or friends with something they need or want.

My favorite xmas present was probably a DS when I was a youngling. Being broke as fuck, my friend group usually exchanges a handful of inexpensive items and treats each other to food – probably the most I've spent on a single item so far was ~$35ish on a big "MILF HUNTER" window cling (should give you an idea of the decorum of these events lmao).

@**ToyDemon** The best Christmas present I ever received was probably a PS2. So many great games for that system. The most expensive present I've gotten someone would probably be a massage gun which cost around $150.
@**ToyDemon** I don't really celebrate Xmas, but I do try to do nice things for friends and family as a special occasion.
The best present I've gotten in recent times was my friend taking me out for winter camping to cheer me up while I was in a slump. Doesn't have a monetary value, I know, but it was worth far more than that for me personally.
Most expensive present I've given that I can recall is giving my parents $1,000 each.
P.S. I can't seem to answer the poll for some reason as clicking one the answers doesn't apply my vote. Regardless, thank you for the community giveaway event, win or lose.
P.P.S. Happy New Year!

@**ToyDemon** Best present ever was the first Bionicle I got from my hot baby-sitter. Introduced me a new world of legos.
Most expensive present I've bought was probably the engagement ring I got my fiance. I am not a good gift-giver, but she picked it out so all I had to do was shell out the cash. roughly 2k, but she's worth it.

- The best present I got was a watch! I have never owned one before so I felt more stylish wearing one around haha.
- The most expensive gift that I have given away is probably a smartwatch for my parents because I wanted to give them something they could use around everywhere, they still use it to this day! they costed around 200 dollars each.

i can't recall what is the best Xmas present I have ever gotten , cuz it should be a long time ago~
The most expensive present I have ever given should be an ipad , to my friend, like $400 bucks.

@**ToyDemon** I know it's a cliche but really it's my family. As for the most expensive gift I bought a Oculus 2 for my parents with pretty much all extra accessories.
@**ToyDemon** I don’t celebrate Xmas, but my wife’s family does, so I’ve taken part in gift-giving/etc.
Probably the best gift I’ve gotten around that time of year was a rare, nerdy book. It’s a Japanese strategy guide for Deception 2, but is essentially an art book as well.
Considering the game was released on PSone, in the mid-90’s, it’s extremely rare, especially in new condition.
Kinda a big deal to me, because I generally won’t buy anything that I can’t excuse as having a use for, due to my upbringing, so I never look for anything that niche.
The most expensive gift I’ve given was this year, actually. I bought a Zojirushi rice cooker for a friend. It was around 240 with the extras I got for them (rice strainer, extra paddles, etc). That had a lot less to do with Xmas, and a lot more to do with mutual love of cooking.

@**ToyDemon** Probably the best present I ever received was computer parts from my uncle who knew I was starting to build a gaming PC. It was honestly kinda unexpected, but he encouraged me to keep on the project when I had doubts about the project. PC parts were (and still are) insanely expensive and the fact that he took time to pick out parts for me to build my computer was just really nice of him. I couldn't afford those parts at the time, so he was definitely a saving grace. I think he really enjoyed seeing me become a young computer geek. It was really sweet of him.
Probably the most expensive gift I ever got was some nice wine for my parents for the holidays. I'm not a massive wine drinker, so I really had no idea if it was good or not. Had to ask around the store and look up reviews online to see if the price tag justified it. They ended up really enjoying it which made me happy. Don't remember how much it was. Probably ~$70 which is insane for something you're gonna just piss out a few hours later. Lol.

@**ToyDemon** Oh boy, this is a tough one. I would haveto say that the BEST Christmas present that I ever received was a life membership for the alumni of my Alma Mater (the same alma mater as my parents). It really means a lot to me and is even more motivation for me to remain a supportive and active member. I think that the most expensive Christmas gift that I ever purchased was a pretty pricey charm bracelet and matching necklace for a young lady that I had taken a fancy to during undergrad. It ran me about $120. I thought that things were going smooth, but I had been played like a fiddle. The odd thing was that she had been having relations with a friend of a good friend of mine. He actually ended up taking the items from her and giving them back to me. Needless to say I got my money back and he and I shared this awkward "bro-hug". Definitely a learning lesson for me. A few years ago a young lady who I'd had a long distance relation ship with wanted to go on a winter trip to this resort in the Wisconsin area. I didn't think I'd be able to make it and begged for her to go on since she'd been looking forward to it. I found out at the last minute that I'd be able to go and surprised her. Overall, that cost about $300 (excluding my own travel fare) and I think it was well worth it. We're no longer involved but keep in contact.

@**ToyDemon** My best Christmas gift that was given to me had to be a purple acoustic guitar.
The most expensive gift that i have given to a friend was a nintendo switch, which was worth 300 bucks. He is a very close friend and he deserved it for being their for me.

The best present I got for Christmas is probably a whole set of Jenga and marble rollercoaster blocks I got when I was a child and they were taller than me when they were stacked up lol
The most expensive present I've ever gifted is a $600 Tiffany&Co. bracelet I got for my mom last Christmas. I couldn't buy anything for a whole month after that but it was a pretty gift :)

Gonna have to reminisce a little for this one. I remember way back on Christmas of 2006 (already 15 years ago!!!), my parents got our siblings and I a GameCube and a bunch of games. We were pretty late on getting it considering the GameCube had already been out for 5 years at that point, but we weren't very well off, so we didn't mind. Before that, our only console was the SNES.
Man I remember how absoulutey thrilled we were when we got that GameCube, we played it all day, everyday, and of course, as siblings do, always fought over who can play, when.
It may not have been nearly the most expensive gift I have gotten, but it will always be a very special memory.
The most expensive gift I have ever given someone is probably the hammered steel gyuuto knife I got for my mother which was about $300. Awesome kitchen knife! All she had were really terrible dull ones, so it was time for a nice, big upgrade.

Hands down my favorite gift that will never top was my great grandpa giving me his savings account for college tuition.
Most expensive gift I’ve ever given was to my lovely mother 1998 Masseto Toscana I think that was what it was called? My mom loves her wine I loved seeing her reaction even if I spent over $700 on it I did not regret it one bit :)

My best Christmas present might have to be the piano keyboard I got when I was a kid. That keyboard was the start of my love for music and because of it, I've performed at so many places, performed with various people, and got to experience so many kinds of live music. I can't imagine myself doing anything else.
The most expensive present I've ever given is the guitar that I got for my girlfriend (she wants to learn). It was about $300, it may not be the most expensive guitar out there but I also don't like wasting money on just anyone. She's lucky :P

My best Christmas present I've gotten is probably the sling bag I use for pretty much everything. It's compact and carries pretty much everything I need for going out.
The most expensive present I've given someone was probably the pc I pitched in for with some buddies for another so he'd stop using his forsaken glorified tablet to play shooters on. My total for parts was probably around like 150.

When I was a kid I got a Gameboy Advance, but it was wrapped under mountains of different boxes. It's long gone, but I still have very fond memories of playing on the GBA for hours (or what a kid percieves as hours).
I'm very terrible at giving presents to my family since I don't really spend much time with them outside of holidays, but the most expensive I've ever given was giving my child niece $100 of cold hard cash.

The best Christmas present I ever received would probably be a Gameboy Color, back when I was much younger. I got an astonishing amount of use out of it, though whether it was a good or bad influence is still up for debate.
The most expensive present I have ever given would probably be an artificial Christmas Tree for about $100, to my brother who had recently moved out and didn't bring any decorations with him. I generally participate in a yearly gift exchange with a price limit, so I don't usually end up giving large gifts.

The best present I have ever received would be an oil diffuser that I still use and will continue using cause it's real nice!
As for the most expensive present I have ever given it would a set of bottles of whiskey plus an cologne, for a family member and it came out about 200 dollars, but it was worth it since they loved it and were pretty happy, so that made it so much worth it too, and remember its the thought that counts too!
