So for most of the year now, we have been working on updating the site, but rather than small iterations and changes, this update we are working on will be quite big. We are hoping that we can have it ready for beginning of 2022. Right now we are still working out some kinks and testing the features, which brings me to the question this month:
1 - What is do you feel is the most important feature (meaning website functionality and not price or cost related) when it comes to a online shop like TD?
2 - Name 1 thing (again we're asking about functionality) you wish the new TD website would do better on.
Let us know below!
Prize(s):
Newly designed ToyDemon T-Shirt to 5 lucky winners.
5 winners will be randomly picked on 11/10/2021.
Disclaimers:
* One entry per person, any account spamming will result in disqualification.

1. The objective details are really important (like the onahole dimensions), and the reviews so people can write about quality.
2. I'd love it if there was some way to find some of the stranger products easier. I'm more into the gimmicky products (like that brain toy I missed out on) and there isn't a great way to search for them.

For your #2 suggestion: I would suggest that ToyDemon offer a New Items email list to alert its subscribers for such items.
ToyDemon seems to post new items in groups, so said emails shouldn't be too frequent and thus not annoying.
Otherwise, you should visit the Community Forum from time to time because ToyDemon will post polls of future items they are considering to get for us.

@winkyblink Honestly, ToyDemon just needs tags. I'm not a pussy scientist, but if I was I would categorize the pussies so people could find monsters/schoolgirls/etc easier. You'd also need a breast inspector, an anal analyst, and.... a dentist..... a perverted dentist.
Belmar ( 296 )
@**ToyDemon**
Please, Please give this guy a t shirt.
A curated list of tags is about the best suggestion I can think of. You could then get rid of all other search categories. There could be Small but Mighty, Too Tight Done Right, Aggresive Texture, Needs Thin Lube, and Nothing About Perverted Dentists (you can’t just let anybody add any tag or you might get vandalized by angry goblins).

@**ToyDemon** I would say being compatable on mobile. Especially considering what is sold here. Which you guys are already amazing at. Something you could do better at? Once again... you guys are amazing at this so i honestly dont know what to put here... umm... shit... maybe make a dark backgound? I honestly have no clue. With or without winning the shirt, just want to let you guys know your awesome for hooking us up with these things we wouldnt otherwise be able to get.
BartlettsPearzzz ( 57 )
@Belmar Absolutely. Would LOVE to be able to choose a dark background, especially at night so it at least minimizes the effect of blue light. Some computers have a "night light" function that adds a warm hue to the background, thus diminishing the blue light. So yeah, a "night mode" would be great!

Product information is definitely important. Considering that (unless under very specific circumstances) that you can't refund a product such as these, people knowing what they get is crucial in making sure you don't "waste" money.
As for a feature, I sure it'd be hard to implement, bit I'd like to be able to search up products by the Japanese name.

@wanderingmidget You already can search product by their Japanese name. Not all products (older products might not be searchable with their Japanese name), but all the newer products should work fine.

@**ToyDemon** 1. I think website searchability is the most important. Sometimes I don't remember the name of a product, instead I might remember a line from the description, the manufacturer, or some other niche detail on the page. Being able to search for said specific details that may not actually be in the product's title to find something is very convenient and important for me. Honestly, a website can have absolutely a horrible UI, but if I can easily find what I'm looking for, I'll gladly overlook it.
2. I'd love to be able to follow a certain brand, Ride Japan is my go-to and personally, I'd love to be able to get notified every time one of their products got on here. I have a few other brands I feel similarly about.
I'd also agree with what @GoblinFucker said, the ability to find niche products with interesting uncommon internals is very much so something that would be very valuable for me, and I'm sure many others.

@**ToyDemon** 1. Besides reviews and product info that others have already stated, I think having a simple and easy to use wishlist system is also important to keep track of items. Toydemon's is great because I can create different lists for sets of items which makes organization even easier.
2. Being able to preview item images without having to open a new page. It's purely for convenience and a quicker way to see if an item is interesting so I don't know if there's high demand for this feature.

1 - Pictures/descriptions/reviews on a product.
2 - Some products tend to be heavily reviewed and while others have only one or two reviews but are (subjectively) very nice. I would like there to be more of an incentive for others to buy/review the newer/lesser known products so I'm not just seeing the same batch of onaholes and a few unreviewed new ones every time I visit. Maybe there could be a way to link third party reviewers to the page.

1 - What is do you feel is the most important feature (meaning website functionality and not price or cost related) when it comes to a online shop like TD?
The community page is the most important part. I would like the community page button to be bigger and front and center. It needs to have more sections? Or make it easier to use. I'm still not sure how to make it more user friendly.
2 - Name 1 thing (again we're asking about functionality) you wish the new TD website would do better on.
Edit review would be nice. I would like to edit some of my past reviews. The website currently lags 1-2 sec for some reason. Hope the responsiveness will improve.
I like the current site layout. Simple and clean. I like it.

1. Before TD I didn't even think about it, but having a community feature is definitely a strong one. Even if you don't partake in discussions, it's nice being able to see a community of people discussing products outside of the review section.
2. It's not really important, but it'd be cool if there were english translations provided for japanese descriptions on product images. They're usually not exactly important pieces of information, but it'd be cool nonetheless.

1. The product photos are really what make or break a sale, at least for me. If the product description are useless or unavailable, then the only thing I can judge a purchase upon are the internal and external photos of an onahole product.
2. Photos with measurement scales or even videos demonstrating elasticity would be appreciated. Also, some of the embedded product videos for a lot of pages shrink and become unviewable for me. Not sure if this is an adblocker problem or a browser problem.

1. The reviews are the most important feature in for the entire website. Other websites just don't do it quite like this one.
2. That being said. I wish there was more incentive into getting people to write a good review or even one at all. if not a small monetary reward then maybe like something like text flare for the users who write reviews that others find useful. Also maybe a small popup that comes up for people to revisit the page after a confirmed buy asking to review the product if they like it? This is a small pet peeve but it would also be great to be able to go back and edit your own review if it has been approved once already.

1. most important feature for me personally is dimensions/ product images. many other sites are either poorly translated or don’t have good product references translations. Lots of items seem to be a gamble without reviews too.
2. Would love some gifs or examples of some of the products/ durability/ softness. Just something maybe showing extra details would be nice. Or those silhouettes showing a person holding the product for scale. I assume the dimensions shown now are of the product in the box and not the actual product.

1. I really like and think videos of the products or pictures taken by ToyDemon and not the manufacturer are important. This is because I think dimensions are very important and some products don't list them or have very strange and not easy to understand pictures. I like to have a grasp on how big it is and how it looks IRL and it helps when you guys have a video available of the product.
2. It's basically what my first point is. I've noticed a lot of products no longer have a video and some of the ones that used to have broken links now. If making a video is too much, just having some pictures of the product I feel like would help.

The best sellers list are my favorite to look at because they help me discover great things I would never have given the chance.
I think I would like recommended onaholes based on my purchased items. Like if other users bought all lot of the same things I do, I would like to be anonymously shown some of the other things that those users have also bought (and maybe even based off of what they don’t buy? I am sure there are many users who dislike similar things to me) and I would like be recommended their selections.
Thank you for reading!

1. Details on the product (dimensions, ect) and having legitimate, good quality reviews.
2. Being more first timer friendly, maybe have a category with you guy's best picks so first timers can get something they're happy with even if they lack knowledge about onaholes.
Maybe add Sezzle or something similar to get weekly payments by credit card so people don't have to pay full price instantly on costly items.

1. Number one most important feature is the search function. A site is no good if I can't find what I'm looking for. ToyDemon already has a good search function.
2. It would be nice if the redesign makes the site more mobile friendly. Browsing the site and trying to open the menus to see the flash deals for example feels a little clunky.

1. Photos are really important. Helps to know what you're buying and is probably my #1 decision maker on whether to buy.
2. A product question page like amazon would be great. Helps to know how each toy compares with a different or similar model.

1. Reviews are necessary for any online store. I'm a very hesitant buyer and need enough assurance that a product works as intended before I could buy it. TD has a great review system, which is why I've decided to stick around.
2. Some items seem to only show up if you directly search for them rather than scroll through a categories list. I wish that there was an option to view every item while browsing categories even if the item is sold out.

2. I would like to see more video previews of product that give more depth of the dimensions of the product and it's features.

1 - information about the products is key. Any feature that makes product purchases easier by providing more info is always better
2 - I'll name 2.
First I'd like to have the option to include results from reviews in search. For example I can look up "super intense" and if it's mentioned in a review for a product, the product would pop up.
Second, id like reviews to include more information about the product like ranking tightness and intensity. U can have this rated on a 5 or 10 point scale (not impacting overall score).
Then from there u can include the option to search products by average intensity score or average tightness score etc.

@**ToyDemon** 1. Reviews
When new products arrives the first review is really important to the product's popularity. I personally avoid buying a newly released product that hasn't been reviewed yet unless it's from a really reputable brand because theres is a chance I will be disappointed.
If it's positive well written review, most likely a customer would be more willing to take a chance of purchasing it and not be disappointed. On the other hand if it's a negative review then most likely a customer would not be willing to take a chance of purchasing it to avoid being disappointed
2. The feature I wish to be added should be available to both platforms.
I'm referencing Amazon's Customer Review System here but "Rating by feature" in addition to the already present Overall rating.
Amazon usually has the Overall rating then sub-categories you can rate on.
A few example sub-categories for toys can be
Aesthetic *****
Cleaning *****
Durability *****
Lube Efficiency *****
Stimulation *****
I believe this can give more insight on products that are rated 4* since they can have a sub-category that is rated 5* for example, "Stimulation" but the "Aesthetic" and "Lube Efficiency" made the reviewer rate the product an overall 4*.
Another user may be looking for a product that has high "Stimulation" but is tunnel visioning at 5* products in hopes to find what he is looking for when in reality he can find a hidden gem in the 4* products as well.

1. It's definitely how responsive the site is and how easy it is to find items. Personally I find searching for items or items in a category pretty easy. The site can be slow to load or respond sometimes which detracts from the experience. Just a minor inconvenience.
2. It'd be nice if the site were just a slight bit more responsive when loading pages.

1. The site is already very pleasant and easy to navigate. I feel like besides reviews and details that others wrote, how easy it is to understand this site and the tutorials made for people just coming into this hobby. The small pieces written by staff have been a huge help.
2. One thing that I would like to see is a way to sort for parody, limited quantity, and also gimmicky stuff like @goblinfucker mentioned.
I'm still pretty new to this so some of these things may already be implemented and if they are I'm sorry for the redundancy. All in all I really love how easy it is to use this website and things like reviews from others.

1 - What is do you feel is the most important feature (meaning website functionality and not price or cost related) when it comes to a online shop like TD?
Ease of finding stuff. The way I browse Toydemon is that I open Preorder/Flash Sale/Clearance and go through each category. The way everything is laid out now is perfect. It's easy to sort through the new stuff and the discounts. It makes the experience simple and fast unlike some other competitor sites I've visited.
That being said, user reviews are paramount. Even if Toydemon was a clusterf*ck to navigate, I would still come here just to read up on people's opinions since it really helps in deciding on what to buy.
2 - Name 1 thing (again we're asking about functionality) you wish the new TD website would do better on.
I have to use google lens to translate shop images a lot, the writeup is very basic and could use some improvements. Mainly, I would expect what is on the box to be in the description, but that's not always the case. One thing I particularly pay attention to is the little color wheel that they have on most boxes, this usually details the sensation such as loose/tight/stimulating/hard and it helps a lot in determining where a certain toy falls within that manufacturer's product line (if you tried other toys from that manufacturer and you know their sensation ratings, then you can make a very good prediction on what to expect from other products). I think that should always be translated for us non-Japanese speaking users.
2nd thing (sorry, I know you said 1, but I can't help myself) is that I wish the toys would have a tagging system. They sort of do now, but I wonder if a user generated tagging system would be beneficial (kind of like on Steam, which I know people will say is prone to abuse, but maybe make tags a part of the reviewing process?). If not user generated, accurate tags made by the staff would be good too. One problem I have is looking for let's say hard type onaholes. I can type in 'hard' into search and a good amount pop up, but definitely not all. If I know that a certain company makes them (like Ride Japan) I can type in the company's name into the search bar and then search through it that way, but it's not nearly as efficient, especially when dealing with a company that has a very large range of products. I would like to see specific tags for products, like fetish type; ie "monster girl", texture; ie "ribbed", "nubs", "realistic", "hybrid", material type; ie "soft", "hard", "cloud", stimulation type (basically whatever it has on the color wheel, being able to sort by for example highest stimulation would be nice, but of course this would go on the manufacturer's rating which would be specific to their own rankings and not universal).

1. Pictures of products and product information in general (weight, size, material, etc)
2. I'd really like to see the site offer a more uniform template for reviews, free range reviews are fine but some you really have to comb through for information relevant to your specific search.
