Is it okay to put powders like cornstarch or baby powder inside a onahole?

Don't know why everyone made such a big fuss over a very simple question but I do agree with nverpullout and Dissident on all their points, especially the don't turn the toy inside out.
Is it okay to put powders in your onahole. Yeah, I guess. It's your toy, your property, your money, your life. Is it recommended or does it do anything beneficial to the toy or your enjoyment of the toy. No. All it's going to do is create a slush of lube and corn starch, you're going to have to use more lube to fight against the friction. I suspect that you'll get the same effect with modern cornstarch-base baby powders. Maybe with more fresh baby smells.
There are also still talcum powder products out there if you can find them. The effects of talcum powder sounds promising in theory but over time you realize toys don't feel the same, not in a good way either. They have a greasy sort of slick feeling to them and the talcum powder does eventually come off the toy with enough friction and tends to stick to your skin instead. This all comes from experimenting with unscented talcum powder.
Also once you put talcum powder on a toy it is a real pain in the ass and a processes and a half to get it back off. So if you do plan to put a powder with talcum on your toys I suggest you pick one that you will not mind ruining and test it out for a couple of weeks. See if it's something you can live with long term cause that powder ain't coming off without a fight.

A number of Johnson's original baby powder being sold at Amazon, ebay and a number of other less known online e-commence sites. Talc products may have been taken off the shelves of more respected retailers but overflow of the old formula is still being sold online if you know where to look. On the side, I did find a few body powder products for adults that are hold outs and still use talcum powder. Johnny B. barber powder boldly just calls it's product TALC and takes apparent pride in using talcum. But I see what you mean, the change to cornstarch was swift and merciless for the baby powder business. My previous comment was unfair to baby powder companies of late 2021. Probably cause I just don't give a damn about baby powder or any sort of baby powder news, but I shall go back and edit my previous comment to reflect a clear difference between talcum powder and modern talcum-free baby powder. My deepest apologies to the entirety of the baby powder industry. You guys are the real heros of this pandemic! Viva babies! Viva Powders! Viva Baby Powers! Viva France! (I'm not French by the way.)

@PrestigiousFarmer Sorry, TD will only let me give you one up vote despite my suggestion to them that my opinion deserves 5. Your reporting on the results of your investigatory efforts deserves an award.
It looks like you can find recipes for making lube with cornstarch, with an apparent consensus that it works but maybe a trip to the drugstore would be better. I will report on my own investigatory efforts after my next run to the grocery.

@XanderCord11 For advice on cleaning and storage, please read ToyDemon’s own advice, and please ignore what is written here.
toydemon.com/blog/cleaning-and-storage-guide?intcp=quicklink&intcpi=TD5cleaningguide
And don’t put alcohol in a product with a high oil content. TD even recommends not using soap. Plus soap is not necessary because the ingredients in most lube already act as a surfactant. It makes no sense to say only use water based lube, and then say use alcohol.
Anyone wanting to know about a medical condition should consult a doctor or at least wikipedia. This is not a forum for medical advice.

@XanderCord11 From my experience over many years - You want to avoid getting any powder IN a hole as much as possible.
It will coagulate with lube to cause friction/abrasions to your penis.
Also, I recommend you only use corn starch (NEVER baby powder) on the outside of your toy.
Corn starch is a very cheap food safe ingredient that you can find in the Baking section of your local grocery store.
On the other hand, baby powder is not only more expensive, but there are people dead, dying, disabled, or being sued over baby powder because of its toxicity and cancer causing due to exposure to it (primarily from inhalation). Definitely something you don't want around if you sniff the scented panties you outfitted your toy with, or if you perform cunnilingus on your toy.
Even with the food safe corn starch, if it gets all over your penis it will dry your skin out (it is a moisture absorber). This can cause an eczema condition (dry, crusty, irritated, painful condition) on your penis (especially on the glans). [Note: If this happens to you (as it did for me once), the cure that worked for me is to invest in some intensive moisturizing skin care/eczema cream and apply it to the affected area (while taking a break from your toys) until symptoms clear up.]

@XanderCord11 Personally I use cornstarch on my onaholes during cleaning to prevent them from getting sticky on the outside, works wonders. I try to avoid putting it on the inside, though.
I don't really know what's “recommended” I just know what I do, and it works for me. But yeah, I would avoid putting powders INSIDE an onahole, you don't want that stuff on your dick.

I had no idea there where masturbations police who control the opinions on this forum. He asked a question, and I gave my opinion on the matter.
@Bellmar with a double PHD in biochem and quantum physics along with the Jedi way of spanking it, was quick to correct a matter of opinion. And he/she/it reads Wikipedia and others should also.
I listed the side affects that occurred and happen to me, to help others if they where so unlucky to make my mistakes. It might not even occur or happen to others, but hey thought it would be good to know for others if they’re unlucky like me.
1. I said it would thicken the lube mixed with powder. Which happen to me and caused chafing.
2. The powder could harden if mixed with water and left for a long time. Which happen to me. Forming a small hard pebble. It might of been hard as a rock or harden just enough. Where I put my junk in the toy and it ended up scratching the top of my penis. Luckily enough for me it was small and didn’t cut deep enough where I needed stitches. Again that shit happen to me and I gave my opinion.
3. Could cause mildew/mold/bacteria. Again happen to me cause I left a toy with moisture and some cornstarch got into contact with it inside of the toy. Mold was formed and ruined the toy and material which I had to throw out.
Didn’t know the focus was on the material of a toy either. Does it matter if it’s silcone or TPE? So recommending to use water base lube only on toys is a sin?
Past experience:
I used supposedly an all water base lube on my fleshlight later to find out that the lube was not silicone free. It basically destroyed my fleshlights and turn them into a sticky gunky mess. Since silicone interacts with each other once they come in contact. I assumed fleshlight had some content of silicone since nobody knows exactly what the superskin is made of. My bad fleshlight I shouldn’t have assumed that, you probably broke down from some other reason like oil in the lube. I don’t have a chemistry lab to test it out, but someone on this forum does. And now I know it’s pure TPE. So again my bad for giving miss information on the material, cause that’s obviously more important than warning others about my experience in using lube other than water base lube. If your deadly allergic to silicone, better to do your research than to trust someone on this forum aka me. Just saying.
My onaholes deteriorated in the inside causing the dual layer to come apart which I had to toss several of them out cause of the bad lube that contained silicone, and not by alcohol. Which many sites recommended not to do or do. Depending on what you read. Wikipedia should have that answer. But my OPINION my toys haven’t deteriorated after several years and many uses of using alcohol to clean them. As long as I use little bit and dry it immediately afterwards. Again my opinion, do whatever makes you happy. But hey, it’s just my opinion and experience with using lube other than a water base lube.
I don’t sell the toys nor make them. I purchase them and use them. Don’t give a f,
If it’s silicone or TPE or made of Buffalo bills skin.
Know now not to come on these forum and give experiences and opinions on matters to try and help others avoid an unlucky situation.
First time ever writing on these forums and obviously my last cause masturbation police are all over if they don’t like what you say.

@XanderCord11 this is fine, but I recommend you check after a few hours, and remove any resulting paste or hard bits of starch. Sometimes the minute amount of moisture can get left behind, and hardened starch can damage the interior. Generally on softer onaholes, this is more of a concern.
Dry sticks are generally better, and save you some trouble.

No, do not put corn starch or any type of powder inside any onahole or toy. It is only recommended to put it on the outside to maintain the softness and durability. Fleshlight recommends corn starch on their toys and a lot of onahole manufacturer recommended baby powder.
Now this is why you do not want to put any powder inside a toy
1) lube mixed with powder thickens causing friction, that could damage your member
2) mildew-fungus could grow and transfers to your member causing jock itch or worse
3) powder could harden into rock form and could damage your member causing surgery
If you want to add powder because of drying purpose. Not recommended.
I recommended pouring a little rubbing alcohol inside the toy after washing it. Then use a small micro fiber cloth with one finger to dry the inside. A lot of people say to turn it inside out, but manufacturers don’t recommended that and I don’t recommend to turn it inside out also. The chance of damaging your toy is greatly increased, plus it stretches and weakens the material. My bad on the silcone…but yes most high end toys are made of medical grade silcone aka Fleshlights. Onaholes are TPE, which still should use water base lube only.

1) All water based lube is some powder dissolved in water.
2) Read wikipedia.
3) like concrete?
4) alcohol will degrade the product
5) find one ona on this site that is silicone
6) there are no benefits to cornstarch inside
This entire comment should be removed for misinformation.

2)Alcohol will not degrade your toy.

1)said to use water base lube..said nothing about any type of powder in the lube..said not to put powder inside cause powder and lube will cause to much friction..read!
2)Read Wikipedia
3)corn starch or powder left mixed with water for a while will harden and you run the risk of scraping your junk.
4)if water is left behind inside an onahole for a long period of time. It will form bacteria and greater increases if there is corn starch or powder in there.
