Am i the only one who did not received a notification about this? Its a littlw upsetting since the items i wanted are out of stock now. Might as well wait for otonajp's sale at this point, not to mention this black friday was earlier then expected.

@warlockgod80 So I asked customer service to look into your account. Because similar complaints have been made, but when we check, it was because they never subscribed to the newsletter.
What they found is that you were subscribed to the newsletter, so that wasn't the issue. So they did a little bit more digging and found your situation rare and purely coincidental. You were at "Gold" level when the Platinum newsletter were being queued to send. After all the Platinum newsletters are sent, then the Gold newsletters gets queued up to be send.
However, once your latest order got processed, you crossed the threshold for Platinum and changed from a Gold to Platinum member. At this time, Platinum newsletters were already sent, but you were not in Gold anymore to be queued for Gold newsletter, thus you were missed from being sent a newsletter.
Sorry for the complicated wall of text, but this is what happened. It was purely coincidental.

Last year we received an email who was gonna get to the sell first and i get that part, but we at least knew before the sale. We at least knew that black friday sell was going to be the following days. Either way ill be passing this black friday sell, since the items that im looking for aren't in stock.

@Tittielover134 I just checked your account. You did not have the same issue as Warlock. Your issue is the first part I mentioned: "but when we check, it was because they never subscribed to the newsletter."
While logged in, go to https://www.toydemon.com/newsletter/manage/ you can see that you have not enabled any notifications at all. So you wouldn't have received anything, even this reply right now, unless you happen to come back and check it out.
Nothing we can do when it's situations like this.

I received an email 7 minutes before my sale time started at noon yesterday. Yeah, I really think they had low inventory this time around. Only reason I even knew to check was because their black Friday was moved to October some time back and the member perks. Though even the member perks was a little vague this year on when the actual time of sale would start.

@Luster We looked into your notification and believe you are confusing the newsletter that @warlockgod80 is referring to with the automated email about prices of items on your wishlist going on sale that you received. System shows you unsubscribed from our newsletter over a year ago or else you would have gotten an earlier notice about the Black Friday Sale.

@Luster The newsletter did give the exact date and time of the sale as well as when early access would start for the recipient. This is the first time running Black Friday on the new/updated/upgraded systems and we were optimizing and debugging up to the last moment so a lot of things were cutting it close and there was a chance originally that it might have needed to be pushed back.

@Luster It would have depend on where you would have been on the system's Platinum notification list queue which we wouldn't know (unless you were actually on it) as the system doesn't create the list in alphabetical order. Warlock changed tier after the newsletter system complied the Platinum notification list but right before the system complied the Gold notification list. Our newsletter take about a week to send to everyone on the list (we adhere to mass emailing requirement from popular email providers which mean we have to send things slowly to not get blocked). The first people to get the date information was last week. Silver tier with its large number of recipient went up to their early access for those at the end of the list.

I think this problem has a simple fix. Considering I also did not get a notification through email, partly cuz the setting was turned off in my settings, I think its best if you guys make a big header 2 weeks before the sale happens on the front page to remind customers of the event.
And since you guys have a deal with letting in certain members inside the sale 12,24,48 hours before the sale starts, depending on what tier they are, then you guys can have a small incentive for new customers to purchase something beforehand, so they can also join in on the black friday fun by reaching silver status before the sale begins.
Thats just a thought. I am saying this because I checked my email and I got an email from Kanojo Toys on October 24th announcing their own Black Friday sale as well.
I feel that this is something that should be looked into so as to not have this happen to current and future customers in the future.

@okizeme I was going to respond to you on the other comment you left, but I'll leave it here instead. If you didn't subscribe to newsletter (you said you had that turned off), then I am not sure how we can notify you? Even if we leave it on our site 2 weeks ahead. Not everyone checks our website on a weekly basis, it might work for you, but it might not work for others.
Overall, I'd suggest people that want to know about our sales, to just subscribe to your newsletter. We rarely send out newsletters, only maybe once a month when we have a sale here and there. We don't bombard you with newsletters daily as we don't want you guys to mark our emails as "spam". We are an adult site, if we get marked as "spam", it's not easy for us to unblock ourselves after we're marked. Hopefully everyone can understand.

yeah I turned on my newsletter notification now. I'll be keeping an eye out for future flash sales or big events from now on. But I do think having a small header/banner on your website a few days prior to big events is still a good idea. Cuz what about about those new customers that are brand new to the site? they are not subscribed, so how will they get the news, or get in on the black firday sales like the rest of us? They'll need to register and do all that...but if they see a banner or some sort of announcement in the front page, then they'll be more likely to join up and make a first purchase.
Maybe I see things differently because I've worked retail irl before, but that is just my opinion. :)

@warlockgod80 I also didn't get an email (yes I checked spam too) even though I had the newsletter setting enabled. After turning it off, applying and then turning it back on, I am now getting emails from ToyDemon.
If there's a way for TD staff to disable then enable subscribed peoples notifications, you may want to do that so they don't miss out on your sales events.

@warlockgod80 Hi there, I did not get a notification either. I'm newer here, so I wonder if that may be part of it, or if my single purchase was in between lists being created. Do people only go 'up' in levels? If so, maybe the lists could be generated from the 'bottom up', and then if people switch levels at least they get two notifications instead of none...
