Hello, Still sort of new here to the community. And new to buying onahole's to some degree.
Started out with a flesh-light some time back after and it lasted quite awhile, eventually got two more but those broke down quick. Really seems as if their quality of material went down.
I've gotten a couple of HotPowers onahole's from TD in the past year and they have been great. However they are definitely wearing down. the Material is tacky and getting various pore holes on the inside... Which means ether i'm just not being diligent *enough* with cleaning. Or maybe roughly a year is an expected lifespan for many of these products.
So i'm wondering if this sort of life or product is what i should be expecting, or if maybe other brands have better quality material and last longer.
If anyone can offer some knowledge it'd be much appreciated.

@SabitaUsagi Two questions: What are you using to clean your onaholes? and, are you using a water based lube? Using the wrong cleaning materials and lube can contribute the breakdown of material.
Most onaholes are made of a soft TPE material, which uses a mineral oil as an ingredient to make it soft. This mineral oil can seep a bit from the material over time, and this can make your onahole tacky. Lower quality TPE will tend to seep oil faster. Higher quality TPE can be almost unnoticeable. To avoid tackiness, powder your onaholes lightly with a cornstarch baby powder, after cleaning and drying your onahole.
The time it takes for the material to break down, depends on four things I think; The quality of the material, the onahole design (thin walls in the wrong area will tear in no time), how you maintain your onahole, and how you use your onahole (ie. how heavy/hard you use it, and the type and amount of lube you use). [Note: the less lube you use, the more friction, and therefore, more wear and tear]
I own PxPxP, EXE, and Magic Eye onaholes, and I have had little durability problems, but I'm also not a Heavy/Hard user, and use plenty of lube.

I only use water based lube cuz I am aware that other types of lube can break down toy materials. However i'm not always sure if "water-based" is enough to go on and if maybe their are ingredients in some that are still potentially harmful.
As far as cleaning i used water that has a small amount of mild hand-soap mixed in I also have two different toy cleaner sprays that i use also.
I use dry sticks, but i don't power every cleaning.
I suspect that I am a heavy/hard user if that is in reference to pacing/impact.

@SabitaUsagi Beware of lubes claiming to be "water based" (because the main ingredient is water) but actually contain dimethicone farther down the ingredient list. Dimethicone is another, more common name for silicone. Many stores/shopping sites will advertise a lube (or even the lube in a condom) as "water based" ... but it actually contains dimethicone on the ingredient list.

I don't see that on the ingredient list for the one i have that i didn't get here.
The one i got from TD is obviously in Japanese and i have no idea what the ingredients are.
But i would assume everything they sell is water-based and would be TPE safe, given that 90% of the toys are TPE...

I think @slvstk touched on some great points re: cleaning with no soap, powdering, and reasons for tpe breakdown. I can't really recommend any specific brands that are extra durable except perhaps Tomax--they seem to kill it in that regard. In general most single-layer toys will last a bit longer as there is no concern of separation.
Some personal experiences with few data points: in the past people used to say that Magic Eyes had a "hit or miss" reputation with regards to quality control and durability, but this hasn't been my experience and they do great. The only toy I've had that really struck me as not very durable was the https://www.toydemon.com/masturbators/torso/scaled-replicas/s-rank-momo-mocchi-2000. It seemed like the inner layer separated from the outer material very quickly leading to a shorter life span, but I'm not sure I'd extrapolate from that to everything PxPxPx makes.

@mephistophe So cleaning with no soap/cleaning solution of any type.... Ohhh now that i'm really talking both of these comments in.. I'm getting the impression that maybe any sort of soap might be part of whats breaking down the tpe?

@mephistophe Also yeah some of the Tomax sleeves are definitely on my wish list. they look pretty durable.
