I personally am not in a rush to receive every order I place. Sometimes it would be even better to have it ship later and select a general week/day for it to show up. I don't know if it would save on shipping fees (for me or TD) to do it this way but I'd use such an option. Would anyone else?

@toasty20 as @PrestigiousFarmer mentioned, all shipping companies like FedEx, UPS, USPS are already backed up with packages with the overwhelming demand there’s literally no way for them to hold packages so they can try to deliver it on the day you want. It will only backup more packages with no one to deliver them. We are seeing some 1 or 2 day shipping that is late by 3 to 4 days.
Our 5-10 days shipping option is already the most economical way we can offer, there’s are no other choices available that we can offer to save more on shipping fees.
If you don’t mind waiting for your onaholes, we’d suggest looking into combining preorder products and choose ship them together. Not only do you save on price as preorder is the cheapest way to get new products and is also free shipping, and choosing to ship together gets you extra reward points.
To be honest, with supply being such an issue still and we don’t see it getting better in the next year, we will need to rely heavily on the preorder system and those who don’t preorder will have a much harder time to get the new products that they want.

I mean, I would if their was such an option, I'm sure many would. But there isn't. I don't even know if Fedex does that and if they do, it must cost a pretty penny to choose your own delivery date/week, especially in this pandemic. Every now and then someone post about something they want changed or altered with the shipping or they are upset cause some option is not available or because UPS is not a shipping method offered but Toydemen has given the reason for doing what they do and it makes sense. And I'm glad they do that cause it gives us the option for free shipping even if my order weighs 50 pounds or some shenanigans like that .
As a tip, if the reason that you want the package to arrive on a specific day is because you don't want anyone taking it or a family member/roommate finding it then you can use the "Fedex hold for pick up option - US only" tab right above your shipping information box on the first check out page.
