I'm thinking of picking up the USB Warmer, and although I've heard good things about it, I've also heard mixed things (heat doesn't last very long, it takes a while for it to start heating, etc.) and that hot water can achieve the same effect. So I was wondering what other people thought about this debate and if I should just buy the damn warmer.

@KhareemPai I've tried the USB warmer available here and another from Amazon. Both were very mediocre sensations. The TD one didn't stay warm for long and took a ridiculously long time to warm. The amazon one heated completely unevenly with some spots that were burn hazards.
Some people still swear by them, but personally I'd try warm water first. I haven't tried it with an onahole, but I've done some diy stuff with warm water and the heat retention was outstanding.

@Tittielover134 Thanks for your input, it's very informative! There was one time I tried warm water, but had kind of middling results (the water may not have been hot enough, I don't remember). But I'm willing to try again.

@KhareemPai Another big issue with a lot of the warmers is that the very end usually doesn't heat up as well too.
Personally use a warmer and my thighs to heat up the toy, looking at 'materials' w/o interaction in the meantime.
Have tried warm water method too, having a reliably hot outer is great, just there's much more room for error and over-checking the inside.

@KhareemPai I like the ToyDemon warmer - I find it only takes a few minutes to warm. Plus I use it to put lube into the tunnel (and warm that lube.)
My pre-warmer workaround was to put hot water in the tunnel, then stand the toy upright in a large coffee tumbler. When ready, dump the water in the cup, add lube and have at it. However, this was kind of messy.
Try a warmer out with your next order.

Ooof , wish I read these comments before I bought the USB warmer from here. Maybe I'll do a side by side and let you know how it goes lol

@KhareemPai Some of my favorite sessions using an onahole were had using a USB warmer. After warming an onahole to around the same temperature as those heat packs you sometimes use during winter (or a bit below that temp), the feeling of insertion is second-to-none. That said, I don't use USB warmers anymore. There's too fine and delicate a line between creating the perfect toasty temperature and making it too hot where it degrades the inside of the toy. Using hot water is just better for the toy in the long-term.
