For those unfamiliar X-Lube comes to you as a dry powder and you then take the powder and create the lube of your preference. You can make it nearly water thin or so thick it's crazy and almost anything in between. I'm a huge fan of several of the lubes here at Toy Demon but the rate I was using Onatsuyu (even thinning it some) was getting expensive. This isn't a knock on TD in any way. I just needed to cut costs somewhere and this looked promising.

Now for my experts, or anyone else who has a feasible idea, I'm finding almost nothing online about people who use this with the onahole type toys we men here are typically using. Everything is geared toward anal play (which is fine and all it just doesn't help me here). So I started mixing up a handful of really small test batches, took all my toys, even those you think have no hope sometimes change with the right lube, and started experimenting. I have likes and dislikes, made mistakes I know about, made some I'm sure I don't, and found that in general I think this will be my choice going forward but I do have issues. So my experimenting goes off (no pun intended) without issue and while I'm not a clean freak I'm consistent in cleaning and drying my things but somehow in the pile of toys one didn't get cleaned and about 4-5 days later I open the drawer and EVERYTHING in there smells like rotting fish. It's permeated a dozen toys that would cost several hundred dollars to replace.

So first question is has anyone ever had anything similar happen? It could just be one toy for you. Same principle should apply. Even if it's with another lube or not being dry enough etc. but you found a way to reliably remove a smell from these types of materials? Over the last few days I've cleaned them all with soap and water of course and it seems that it has dissipated some but I may just be getting nose blind to it.

The second easier question for people who use this revolves around adjusting the viscosity (thickness) after you've finished the normal mixing process. I haven't really tried as I'm still experimenting with different stuff but at some point I want some consistency and the ability to reliably get what I want when I want it. So if you need a finished batch to be thinned some do you add water and shake it again? Then let it rest again? If it's too thin and you want it thicker do you ever add more of the powder? Again, shake and stand? Or another method? The company website doesn't seem to put this in the FAQ and their video directions seemingly (slightly) conflict with their written pamphlet for even making an initial batch. I've sort of felt like outside of going to an extreme viscosity one direction or the other that my batches sort of end up similar in a few days outside of those that are gel thick.

Any help or discussion about this would be great. The product is interesting and I recommend the $30-40 it cost to give it a whirl but there is some work involved and does require some care to handle. However, I've never used a lube quite like this and can see how it wouldn't be for everyone as it behaves in odd ways to me at times but that's a longer discussion but one if you're into this that I'd like to explore a bit. Anyway, thanks to anyone who takes time to reply. I'm slow but I will reply if I get notices and any conversation develops.
