The Black Friday post said to look for one of the past ToyDemon blog posts to get the answer, but I can't seem to find it under the ToyDemon Bulletin, News, and Website Updates categories.

The why was first mentioned in the first early Black Friday post here https://www.toydemon.com/blog/early-black-friday-and-free-shipping-raised
Since moving it forward, changes to courier policy and more have reconfirmed that it is the right move to move it forward. Many may not know this but couriers all have "Holiday peak surcharge" which is an extra fee on every shipment from November to January just because they have a lot of packages. Packages during the actual Black Friday has tons of transit delays and delivery issues on top of everyone having to pay more for shipping during this time which doesn't make a lot of sense.
We aren't the only ones that noticed the problems caused by everyone shipping on Black Friday. Notice how "Prime Day" has moved forward to beginning of October with other retailers also moving their big sale forward to October to match. Package transit and courier's upcharge plays a large part.
Labor also affects this. Getting extra reliable help on those days were extremely tough. There's no way to get all packages out on time without additional help. We've had people hired to help during those days that doesn't show up. By moving it forward, we are able to get better help that we need.
There are more benefits to it but these are the largest factors. Black Friday is after all a made up sale day and things have changed quite a lot since the days of people lining up after Thanksgiving before the crack of dawn at your local store to score some deals.
