We got an email from DHL just hours ago about how they are pausing all shipments to Canada starting tomorrow, here is the email:
"Dear Valued Customer,
We write to inform you about important changes regarding our DHL Express services to and from Canada.
Due to ongoing labor actions in Canada and the implementation of new legislation (Bill C-58) that restricts DHL Express from deploying any contingency solutions, our DHL Express shipping operations in Canada will be suspended effective Friday, June 20, 2025, at 00:00 local time.
As a result, we will have to cease the collection of shipments destined to or dispatched from Canada as of Tuesday, June 17 at 21:00 E.T. until further notice.
The services of DHL’s other business units in Canada – DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Supply Chain – as well as the inbound delivery of shipments for DHL eCommerce and Post & Parcel Germany are not
impacted by this change."
So right now we have to pause any DHL shipments to Canada starting today and will update once we have more information.
In the meanwhile, we are looking to FedEx or even USPS to continue to ship to Canada. We will update hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday. Thank you for your paitence.
*Update June 24th: We are testing allowing a limited amount of shipments to Canada using Postal shipping service. During this time, shipping to Canada may not be available at checkout. We will update as soon as possible.
*Update June 25th: DHL Canada has reached an agreement with their striking workers but a vote still has to be taken before the strike officially ends. We are still working on other options in parallel but this news means a solution will be near no matter what.
*Update June 30th: We have been notified by DHL that Canada shipping has been resumed and is now available on the site again.
