- OROCHI
Rating80%
Introduction:
Ride Japan ended 2023 with Orochi, the latest in their dual-layer offerings. Notably, unlike their other standard cutesy covers, the colorful geisha art looks fantastic; I’d like to see more of this with future toys.
Packaging aside, Orochi is unassuming; it’s a standard cylinder of their soft baby touch material. There are no subtle textures wrapping the outside like on their other toys. “Ride Japan” is emblazoned around the end of the toy in case you forgot who manufactured it, and the opposite side has a circular hole.
Interior:
Entry is easy thanks to the ample opening. Inside, the toy's tunnel is composed of crimson hard touch material, and the interior looks angry!
Orochi's chaotic interior is a dizzying juxtaposition to the bland exterior. From the start, jagged points shoot from the walls. These lead to a tight thorn-laced gate, and just beyond, a single sharp tooth lies in wait. Everything collapses into bands of gnarled torrents before the respite at the journey’s end.
Experience:
Starting out is nice; this section gives a firm massage from all sides. Occasionally, I like staying in this shallow end as a break to the mayhem deeper in the toy.
Pressure starts to build at the midpoint. Having the large nub work the frenulum is nice, but I mostly feel the crushing grind afterward. It’s difficult to feel anything else here except the suffocating walls. The tunnel is solid and tight, but allows for free movement.
To finish, the ribbed closing chamber is just there - it’s nothing special and doesn’t add anything. It helps to create some suction, but I can’t feel it since I’m overwhelmed from all the punishment.
I need to keep the toy well lubed for the most enjoyment. When it starts to dry, it’s much more grindy and grippy. Sometimes, I feel a weird twinge pushing through the halfway section. It’s not painful, but there's a modicum of confusing discomfort. Oddly, it’s not terrible.
Cleanup is pretty simple. The opening is big enough to get in a dry stick and cloth, and the tunnel allows for some good airflow in front of a fan.
While it beats me up, I like the "pain." I’d definitely say this toy is for those that like a harder sensation. I love the Ride Japan toys that offer both soft and hard textures inside, but Orochi has a little too much spice for my taste to warrant five stars. If you’re overly sensitive, this might be too much to bear. However, if you like a tunnel that looks like the inside of the Sarlacc pit with a kind of wood chipper-y experience, this could be the toy for you.+ Nice box art
+ Easy-to-use utilitarian design
+ Tight, grinding tunnel- Hard touch inside might be too much for those that want a more relaxed session
- Taimanin Kirara Reality
Rating40%
Introduction:
PxPxP continues their Taimanin series with Kirara Reality; their take on the character Onisaki Kirara. For a quick recap on the other two Taimanin-themed toys I’ve (mostly) had the pleasure of trying:
Sakura Seigi no Bishojo - Impressive outer detailing; stimulating interior. Love it.
Yukikaze Youen Miboujin - Impressive outer detailing; less stimulating tunnel good for edging, but the tunnel is too close to the exterior.
As usual, Kirara’s draw is… impressive outer detailing. The 600 gram mini-torso looks fantastic and captures the aesthetic of the character. The breasts are plump and rest nicely atop my thumb when in hand. A scanty armor set decorates and wraps the torso. The rear is generously sized, and the two leg stumps on the front make the toy appear seated.
Along with images of the toy, I’ve included an image that shows how Kirara (left) looks compared to my favorite Taimanin, Sakura (right).
Interior:
The narrow slit needs extra lube and force to penetrate. Just inside, nubby studs surround the tunnel; this is the most “open” section of Kirara. Push through a star-shaped gate to continue as the tunnel shrinks a bit more.
The mid-section is the tightest spot. Ribbing runs the oblong passage, and there’s a noticeable squeeze. Finally, the end hits with a cluster of feathery folds. The massage they provide from all angles feels amazing.
Experience:
The first few times, Kirara was quite stimulating. While somewhat difficult to enter (a common theme with these toys,) the tunnel is (significantly) tighter compared to the other Taimanin. There’s no suction effect to pull the walls inward, but this doesn’t matter. The compact size means all the little nubs and ridges are emphasized. Kirara can push me to the edge with little effort. So far, this all sounds great, right? However, after a few uses, Kirara is borderline unusable.
I cannot say why - maybe the oil in the toy is gone - but now once I push inside, it’s a struggle to move past the first chamber. The toy fights back as I attempt to inch inward. Adding more lube and water does little to help; this only resolves the problem briefly before Kirara goes back into lockdown. Note that this wasn’t a one-time event, but the same over different attempts. The toy’s torso is compressed as I force my way in and stretched on the way out, and this is the likely cause of the next issue - leakage.
Just like with Yukikaze mentioned earlier in this review, the tunnel is too close to the exterior. The upper back has a noticeable bulge as I push through. During one session, the extra lube and stress as the toy deformed caused moisture to wick through the weak spot. The struggle to get inside along with the leaky back are too much to take, and I’ve had to switch to more accommodating toys to finish.
I really want to like Kirara, but looks alone aren’t enough. Even without the paralyzing grip, I imagine Kirara can’t take much abuse before tearing. I wanted to give Raigeki No Taimanin Hole a try - the newest Taimanin entry as of this writing. But similar to Kirara, I saw an image elsewhere pointing out the same design flaw. Maybe this thin spot location won’t cause the same issue, but I hope PxPxP will address this problem in future Taiminin iterations.
I rated Kirara based on the other Taimanin toys. She’s one star below Yukikaze; I could enter Yukikaze’s tunnel at least. If you like the look of Kirara, but don’t want the shortcomings, consider Sakura instead.+Stunningly beautiful, detailed design
+Tight, compact tunnel- Tunnel is too difficult to penetrate/exit over time
- Questionable durability at the upper back
- Leaky lube makes a mess and requires more top-offs
- Pricier than other Taimanin toys - Sleepless The Hole Marie Mamiya
Rating100%
Introduction:
I’m somewhat familiar with Empress; their works are drawn quite well. And on first impression, that effort is reflected on the box. The images on the side and top panels are beautifully illustrated (these look to be CG rips from Sleepless A Midsummer Night's Dream). There’s a brief bio section that details Marie’s one weird trick to staying young.
As a bonus, there’s a miniature copy of the box cover inside! The image is roughly 6” x 4.5” and pressed in acrylic. It includes a stand for proud display (I salute you if your living situation lets you do so.)
The toy is on the larger side tipping the scales at 670 grams. Though weighty, it fits in my hand easily. The exterior is smooth and slightly squishy to the touch; the box rates the material a two out of five stars for firmness. A pea-sized hole opens the tunnel.
Interior:
There’s an empty space before three humps jut from the walls. These protrusions are thick and coated with numerous ribs and each has a different length. Where the first smaller band ends, the second and third crush to the middle of the tunnel. As the second band stops, the tunnel takes a slight bend. This creates a tight squeeze, and a padded oblong opening leads to the uterus finisher. Inside, the chamber is fairly open with fine ridges running the interior.
Experience:
Sometimes I find toys with an entrance this small tend to collapse inward. This makes it difficult to get going; however, Marie doesn’t have this problem. She’s accommodating and allows easy access. There’s no reason to stay at the entrance, though, there’s nothing of interest.
The meat of the interior gives a gentle grind. It’s a nice “real” feel; the tunnel is soft, but not too soft. Each of the three strands hit from a different angle so there’s plenty of stimulation. The pre-uterus bit is especially grippy.
There’s not really a pop when entering the uterus like some toys offer. Occasionally, I don’t quite line up with the opening - you can see in the cut-away image on the box this chamber has two small slits on either side. This causes a tiny shutter as the toy redirects me to the end. Inside is fine, but lackluster.
But its real purpose is for suction. When the air is gone, the toy wants to keep me inside, and the collapsed tunnel textures assault fantastically. Finally, the toy’s weight helps bring it down with a chunky slap encouraging deep exploration.
Cleaning is tricky since the tunnel actively attempts to block my little fan’s airflow. Those bands don’t contribute to circulation, either, so extra care is necessary for drying.
Sleepless the Hole Marie Mamiya has it all - a beautiful box, a bonus collectible and provides a toe-curling session. I’m considering picking up Maria Mamiya for my collection, but you should definitely add this cozy collab sleeper to your cart!+ Box panels are great
+ Sturdy acrylic-bound image and stand!
+ Beefy toy that moves effortlessly
+ Soft wrapping tunnel textures
+ Suction and said soft wrapping tunnel textures- If you don’t care about the box and/or bonus acrylic image, it might be a little spendy
- Uterus and entrance add to suction, but little else - Tsubomix
Rating100%
Introduction:
Tsubomix combines a mixture of two materials: baby touch material through the majority of the toy and hard touch for the raspberry-like nodules inside. Baby and hard touch fall on both sides of the middle-of-the-road bungee touch as far as firmness goes; baby touch is a little squishy and hard touch has a bit of stiffness.
Tsubomix feels light at 325 grams. The baby touch exterior is smooth except for the textured band around the middle. Here, the soft material sinks under its own weight.
Interior:
I can see the red bumps at the toy's opening. Inside, they cover one half of the tunnel in rows of four. Opposite the tunnel, three textured bands run parallel to each other. Just beyond the halfway point, six pointy teeth jut toward the toy’s middle. They stop before the end where a single large rippled bump hangs.
Experience:
I expected the bumpy section to be similar to the feel of Ride Japan’s Nikuyoku Inten; they have the same looking textures. However, while there’s some minor resistance, they didn’t have as much of a punch along and below the frenulum as the sizeable mounds in Nikuyoku Inten. They're not bad, though, and I can feel these more by turning to the left or right occasionally.
Otherwise, the remainder of the tunnel is pleasantly soft. The pointy bits after the halfway point feel great, but the chamber at the end doesn’t do much. If anything, it helps with a bit of suction. Longer sessions get an extra snuggly grip when the air is removed.
Afterward, cleaning and drying is easy enough. This is another solid choice from Ride Japan. At just over $30, this is easily on par with more expensive soft toys.+Good price
+Nice soft stimulation is great for edging
+Decent suction-Muted hard touch section
- Onatsuyu Pussy Juicy Lotion 370ml
Rating100%
After a year and a half using this, I can say Onatsuyu Pussy Juicy Lotion is great to get the job done. It’s thick, but seems to dry quickly. This grinds things to a halt a bit faster than I’d like. However, a few drops of water fixes that and adds much more life to just a tiny portion of lube.
One other note: I found the opening too large - I don’t need THAT much . As a workaround, I picked up a plastic bottle with a fine tip at my local grocery store (it was designed for homemade salad dressing). It’s thinner and easier to squeeze than Onatsuyu’s bottle. Plus it works quite well to apply controlled drops into a toy’s opening.
Those negatives aside, you can't go wrong with Onatsuyu Pussy Juicy Lotion!+Lots ‘o lube for the price
+Easy to see how much is left in the bottle
+Washes out of toys easily-Opening is too large
-Good to have a dropper of water nearby
