Well after the smoke has cleared from the 3 month buying spree (Darn you end of year fantastic sales) sad to report that currently the stash spot is out of room. If one more onahole was to arrive the suitcase (of sorts) would burst open and there would be sleeves flying in every direction.
I'll have to take stock, one has it's replacement that will turn over, and I have a couple that may not take up long term residency. I will need to stock up on some more storage containers to free them from their cardboard holding cells.
Anyone else run into this situation quicker than they anticipated or did I just become an addict in short order?

@AHistorian just have to think ahead and plan where you’re going to be keeping your stash. I plan mine ahead accordingly and keep them in my closet. I have enough room and don’t seem to have any problem yet. I have about 60+ toys to pick from and all are in good condition cuz I keep them inside designated drawers away from prying eyes. All my favorites are together, while hips and larger toys are tucked at the bottom with clothes stacked on top for extra cover. It’s tricky if you don’t have a plan for storing, sucks that you have reached a limit to your storage space. Try to pace yourself next time, cuz I know it can get wild when new toys hit the market and you just have that itch to buy them. lol

@okizeme so the stash spot used to lock up other items that I had more of a fear of being stolen, but they have now been freed to make room for items with privacy needs.
At the moment everything fits (sans one torso that I had to make other arrangements with) that 1 box/toy took up enough space to store about 6 ona boxes.
I'm starting to notice that some brands and models are longer term TD residents, sleeves like a Tomax or a ZXY likely won't disappear, but why hold off and miss out on what they offer? Ha. Other sleeves look to be bought in a batch, maybe they aren't as legendary so they sell out and don't return.. supply and demand no doubt about it.
I'm good for now, I need to purge a few out and laugh a bit with the question of "what am I going to do with a mini bar looking case of unopened tiny lubes?"
I also store mine in a specific way, so next dollars need to invest in a few more storage containers vs new onas.

@AHistorian good thinking on figuring out a storage solution to fit your needs.
As far as the toys that might seem like a limited time run, such as some direct OVA inspired sleeves such as the dark forest elves series or other popular hentai onas, I do understand in pulling the trigger right away because of fear that they won’t return. I definitely had multiple instances on buying them and before I knew it, I was stuck with 20+ toys that I bought merely for the box art and some of the recognizable characters I spotted from trending hentai works.
I also didn’t know where to start storing them and began to build a toy backpack… and it wasn’t a good idea. My backpack started smelling like plastic due to the oils leaking from the onas even tho they were in toy bags.
I had to figure out a solution and that’s when I decided to put them in drawers. I think you’re on your way to managing your precious inventory. Let us know how that goes!

@okizeme So I did some other shopping today. Bought a decent sized lockable box to store some items currently in the stash spot to be locked up and relocated to make space for sleeves in the stash spot, I then picked up 7 more containers to store sleeves and have started preparing those for their new contents.
Once the other case arrives I can empty out that space in the stash spot, move in the new containers with sleeves and will be good.
Then comes disposal of all the packaging. I feel like I'm on some secret spy mission.
I've decided to just keep all sleeves at the moment, give each a home and if it falls out of favor, just purge when ready. That will then free up space for another purchase if I like down the road.
I also found out that not all my onas will fit in the same containers I have chosen (about 95% do.) I have two Kokos sleeves that would go in, but would never come out if I tried, so I had to source different storage for them (ass on them is just too juicy!) Ha!

@AHistorian that’s great to hear! Also, believe it or not.. I can give you a great tip to keep your original toy boxes and in case you want to save it for the art work.
All you gotta do is flatten the boxes out. Make a nice pile and stack them nicely. Then you store that small stash of flattened boxes in a nice small box.. or in anything you think will be appropriate to keep them away and hidden. Up to you on how you want to do it, but so far i have ALL 60+ original packaging using that method. However the larger Hip onas are tricker and you will need to have a larger space to flatten them and store them away. But it’s doable. Good luck!

@okizeme I usually ask places for boxes to be removed so it's less I have to deal with when unpacking. I've kept a few boxes though and do like actually unpacking stuff from the boxes, it's fun to open them up!

@okizeme I'm in a situation where the less chance of having packaging around, the better.
Although having the original boxes may be nice, I'm more focused on contents (I get that for some the box art is part of the gig and I can respect that.) As long as I know which one is which, without the packaging, I'm A-OK.

@AHistorian I 3d print custom sized cylinders for my collection, which reduces the space they take up compared to their original boxes.
Of course, I also bought a 6 foot tall metal cabinet to hold them all and it's overflowing... but that's just because I lack impulse control and buy too many.

@anon12345678 awesome on the custom container, that sounds like an excellent solution. Do you have any fears of the TPE reacting with the plastic containers?
anon12345678 ( 157 )
@AHistorian No reactions with PLA or PETG on any TPE or silicone toys of any sort. But super oily toys will still shed oil over time.

@anon12345678 Good on, I store mine in glass jars and am trying some with bags as it helps them slide out of the jars better. Still looking to perfect the system.

@AHistorian Yeah I got four large containers for what I imagined would take me a while to fill up.
It did not take me a while.
I am looking for larger containers currently, my current plan only increases my total storage volume by about 31%, so I've been finding alternatives that hopefully get me 50% or more while still maintaining my current storage location.
Edit: It probably doesn't help that I've got multiple hips/torsos that take up a lot of space in two of my four containers.
Edit 2: I was able to achieve a +55% increase in total storage volume in the same location, I would say mission successful!

@Apricot4996 Yes, my spot did fill up quickly, I was cruising along and then bought faster than I could make room.
Tomaxes came back and sell out fast so I snagged two and said to myself that I would just "figure it out" and I did.
I then had one come in direct from Japan and it is still in it's shipping box. No place in the stash for it- thus why I started this conversation to begin with ha! By the weekend I hope to have everything in its place and a tidy stash spot once again!

@AHistorian I have my last order from ToyDemon with most of them still in the box and unopened. Need to go through them all!
AHistorian ( 138 )
@yanyanyanyan yeah, I'm not in a situation where I can just open and leave things out and about. So it takes the right timing and things lined up to ensure a smooth transition from shipping box to holding container within the stash spot and then safe purging of packaging materials.
I was hoping to have a complete transition this past weekend but I got all but 1 into the stash and the reason the last one hasn't made it is packaging is taking up needed space. I'll get it though.
*Update* happy to report that the reorganization was a success! Ordered a few more bags to put sleeves in but the team is all assembled and containers are all transitioned into the stash spot!
Still have some packaging to discard, but its all in a safe place until that time comes!
