Rends's new Sucker Alpha and Throat Beta sleeves for the Piston machines both look to have the same issue as the Sucker Beta, that is they are both rotated 90 degrees off of the ideal positioning. WHY??? I'm mainly interested in the Throat Beta because I need a sleeve with more room inside and none of the others are really wide enough. You'd figure that a newly released Sucker sleeve would correct this problem... nope.

@frankrizzo this might be a dumb question, but is it possible to just rotate the entire thing by 90 degrees to compensate? i dont have the a10, so i dunno what the limitations are

@horneddevil
It is if you are holding the Piston in your hands, or have made a custom mount to compensate for it. I mainly use it handheld anyway but its still a bit awkward, although rotating it does change the sensation some in any case. The basic stand will not account for this though, although I don't really care for it anyway as positioning myself inside of it can be awkward due to the locking ratcheting mechanism, especially with a chair that doesn't have a height adjustment.

@frankrizzo i see. thanks for the info. whats the difference between the alpha and beta? they have the same descriptions

@horneddevil
Probably the hardness of the materials since it says normal on the alpha packaging, with the beta being softer. I'm assuming of course, also based on the the design of the newly released beta sleeves and their packaging saying soft.

@frankrizzo been eyeing the A10 Piston Basic one, looks like it has less tech but good bang for the buck since it uses the same set of cups.

If the basic only has the white mode of the SA, just a "basic" back and forth motion, that's not too bad especially considering the price difference. I personally use the green deepthroat mode the most on my SA and depending on which sleeve is in I will use the white mode. The other modes don't really do much for me anyway, if I were a bit longer then it might make a difference but I doubt it, if anything I can only see the other modes being good at slower speeds due to the complexity of the movements. Don't really think this machine is too good for girthier guys but maybe someone else will chime in, I feel I'm on the upper end of girth for this thing when I'm using both a separate quality silicone lube and thinner water based lube together. Really disappointed that the new sleeves haven't been reworked but it isn't a complete dealbreaker.

@frankrizzo I ended up fixing it by punching my own holes with a meat thermometer on the sucker B on the two other fins, then I cut out the round plastic grommet from another sleeve I wasn't using (I think the one with large Bumps which didn't felt that good) and inserted into holes I made and put it I to the cage. It's not perfect because apparently the plastic rings are part of the frame that extends throughout the entire sleeve but it's finally right side up, but it did the job and didn't lose suction.
The easy fix from Rends is probably a new plastic cage holder that is 90 degrees off.
