Within the last 5-6 years, there has been a rise in popularity of mixed Japanese AV Actresses. These ladies with their hybrid looks combined with an erotic body have made many an instant star in Asia.
This trend all started with the half Japanese, half French Canadian AV actress Maria Ozawa. Her unique look and hot body allows her to stand out among the sea of Japanese AV actresses. Debuting in 2005, she has became an award winning AV Actress and one of the top favorite with ToyDemon staff and customers. This popularity led to her being used as the first actress ever for the Meiki no Syoumei line. Her realistic replica Meiki Maria Ozawa is still a fan favorite and highly recommended by them. In recent years she has made the move to become more mainstream through non-adult movies like Tokyo Species along with product promotions.

She disappear from the industry in her teenage year for around 4 years only to resurface at age 20 (2009) announcing that she was on contract with an adult video studio under the name Saori Hara. Having been a young idol along with her slightly mixed looks (quarter German) and great body catapulted her to the top of many Japanese AV Fans' list. According to a Japanese news source, Saori Hara and Maria Ozawa were the most downloaded AV actress in China. Unfortunately, Saori Hara officially retired around September 2011.
Although the previous three actress have since been out of Japanese AV, it doesn't mean that there isn't anyone left to take their place. Rola Takizawa is a half Japanese, half Russian beauty with a slender figure. Her current rise to the top is perhaps even faster than any other AV Actress we've mentioned. Recently it was even announce that she will be the next face of Meiki no Syoumei line under her other name Rola Misaki. (which the ToyDemon Staff actually predicted last year!!!)
