Hope all of you have had a good break to start the new year. We had a good end to the year and everyone was able to recharge and relax to start the new year. However, we have a little bit of bad news to start the new year. We are pausing the Product Request feature for the time being.
As some of you would know, we order quite a bit from Japan, and normally it's easy for us to sneak a few special requests here and there and be able to get them all in in a timely manner. As this feature has become more known, we are receiving a lot more requests which takes longer time to inquire about them from the manufacturers. Add on the pandemic caused shortages and logistic issues, these special quest items are slowing down the manufacturers' turn around time even more than it already is. Rather than just fulfilling our regular items (such as ZXY), the manufacturers have to also fulfill our single special product request items and thus delaying everything from being shipped. So rather than everything delayed, we have decided to pause special product requests for now to focus on the main products that we carry until the manufacturing and logistics is more stable. I know it's not what you guys want to hear, but it's what we have to do. Hopefully you guys will understand.
Also just another warning for the possibly shipping issues that might be coming up in the next few weeks. We have been told due to the Omicron variant outbreak, a lot of carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL) are under staffed. We had UPS not even show up to pick up our packages and had to deliver them to a nearby station ourselves. So we expect a lot of deliveries to be delayed or late.
