New Theory On Why Men Like Breasts
Larry Young, a professor at Emory University has offered a new theory on why straight men like breasts. It's to strengthen the bond of couples. Female nipple stimulation during breast-feeding results in oxytocin flooding her brain strengthening the bond between mother and child. This evolutionary brain circuitry has applications outside of nursing. When a mate stimulates the nipple area during sexual activities, the women's brain is also flooded with the same oxytocin resulting in a strengthening of the couple's bond. Recent studies found that nipple stimulation also enhances sexual arousal in great majority of women and activates the same brain areas as vaginal and clitoral stimulation. This means that breasts are a key in men making themselves more desirable to the opposite sex. Through the process of evolution, men's brain have developed a natural tendency for an attraction to female breasts. When asked why this evolutionary change happens in humans, he thinks that it is due to humans forming monogamous relationships whereas 97 percent of other mammals do not. The added difference between humans and other monogamous mammals is that humans have face to face sex and walk upright which allow breasts to be in full view.
