Brand New ToyDemon Community Discussion Board!

User community and participation has always been a integral part of the internet experience. Whether it's compliments, complaints, questions, or answers, having a community available to be able to hear their takes or thoughts on a certain onahole or sex toy has always been a valuable asset whether you are purchasing or simply learning.

As we browse on the internet (blogs, forums, Reddit), we always see people with questions and feedback about a certain onahole. Even with ToyDemon being around for 12 years, we still don't have all the knowledge and detailed information that users have through extensive product usage and experience.

If you didn't already know, ToyDemon has always had a forum available since 2009. As time goes by (especially after our website redesign), there is less and less activity on there since it is not easy to notice that we had a forum. In addition, everyone have to register for the forum separately from the website's user account. We realized that we need to make a change. Talking and sharing with your fellow onahole fans shouldn't be so difficult!

Since September of 2019, we have been working on a this community feature to add to your ToyDemon experience and we hope this will make your experience at ToyDemon even more worthwhile. In order to achieve this, we had to also revamp some of our existing features:

Nickname

When you sign up for an account, or sign in for the first time after we added our update, you will be asked to input a unified nickname:



This nickname will now be your main identity on ToyDemon across Community, Product Reviews, Product Questions, and etc. Please note that the nickname cannot be changed once set, so please choose carefully. In addition, you can choose whether to display how many orders, products, and reviews is under your account, but we will get to that later.

Reviews

First with the above Nickname addition, all the reviews will be displaying your nickname. This makes it easier for users to recognize certain reviewers and can trust their reviews more.

The 2nd and major update allows the users to comment on the product reviews. If you have a question about someone's review, simply leave a comment. Even if the reviewer doesn't respond, other users might be able to help.



With the above updates, we are now able to unify all the user submitted content under the account. Users will also now be able to see if who is being helpful and trust the content even more.

Now let's move onto our biggest update:

ToyDemon Community Discussion Board

While going through onahole information online and reading some of the onahole subs on Reddit, we realized that while these subs are helpful, there weren't more than a few active members at any given time that can discuss/help. With the amount of active visitors on ToyDemon, the onahole community could be better served with more discussion on ToyDemon instead.

ToyDemon has an fairly active stream of onahole users and fans browsing on our site at any given time. With a more focused group of users, it would benefit everyone to let them interact and help each other out in a non-invasive way. So we started brainstorming last September for a community function.

The major issue as we mentioned above was that using the TD Forum and browsing ToyDemon is a disjointed experience. Separate accounts were needed, the interface is completely different, and not everyone will even see the forum let alone register to post.

Our task for the new Community Discussion Board was to make a coherent, and smooth experience with an easy user interface. The key was adding Nickname to unify all user submitted contents under the ToyDemon account and adding the community discussions to all the sidebar for visibility. We want users to be able to jump in and start conversing by simply logging into your ToyDemon account.

Below are steps on how to start using the ToyDemon Community Discussion Board, along with the basic guidlines:

• 1. Everyone can openly access and read the community section posts. However, to post or comment, you will need to register for an account.
• 2. If you already have a ToyDemon account, the first time you sign in after the launch of ToyDemon Community, you will be asked to choose a Nickname.
• 3. The community has a upvote system similar to our forum and other "like" or "karma" system. We feel this allows users to distinguish between legitimate posters that have been helpful to others within the ToyDemon Community. Since our Community Section is part of our members system, we are also working to have Upvotes related promotions/gifts in the future. Stay tuned!
• 4. All your posts and comments are instantly approved for others to view. So please stay civil and do not post anything inappropriate against our Terms & Conditions. If your post/comment was not approved right away, that means you have entered something inappropriate and the post/comment will now require approval before showing up. If you see something inappropriate, please report them and we will do our best to moderate as soon as possible.
• 5. Your profile in the community is accessible by others and will display your account stats such as:

• 6. Please do not post in the community questions about your order or other question that requires private information. Those type of questions should be for the ToyDemon customer service through the Contact Us form. The Helpdesk is still your fastest and best way to get help on an order since others members can't help you on your order and we won't post private information in the community. You can however post general questions.
  
  For example, please do not post:
  "My Order TDXXXXXXXXXX has not shipped yet, do you know when it will ship?"
  
  Instead, it is much more helpful for others if you post:
  "What's everyone's past experience on how soon ToyDemon ships your order?"
