Let's mix this up and talk about something else instead of onaholes!
The staff at ToyDemon are very into video games and play quite a bit together when we can on Friday afternoons if we are not busy. For those who follow us on twitter, we posted once of us bringing in our Switches and played Rocket League in the office after a BBQ.
We also LOVE anime and that's why we tried to sell figurines on ToyAngel.com, but that didn't quite work out for us.....
Anyway here's giveaway #4:
How to Enter:
1. Upvote this post.
2. List your favorite video game and anime. Tell us why if you'd like, but not required.
3. Guess TD staff's collective favorite video game and anime. Please be specific, Super Mario does not count, Super Mario Odyssey counts. We will explain why we love them when we announce the answer.
4. We know not everyone plays video games or watch anime, so as long as you leave a comment, you will be entered.
5. You can ask us questions for some sort of direction, we might or might not answer.
6. Only 1 official entry, please make it count.
Prizes: $25 in Reward Points
3 Winners - 0 correct guesses.
6 Winners - 1/2 was correctly guessed.
10 Winners - 2/2 was correctly guessed.
You do not need to guess the right combination, as long as anyone guess either the correct game or anime, it counts. More winners, better chance for everyone.
If someone guesses the correct combination, that person will win directly and take 1 of the 10 winner spots. If somehow 10+ people guessed the correct combination, no drawing will occur as all 10 spots are filled and is first come first serve.
Answers and winner(s) will be announced on 6/5/2020 @ 12pm CDT.

@jtsk anime series like Naruto, it's fine to say Naruto. We don't view it Shippuden as separate sine technically in manga (we all started reading manga before the anime was a thing), it's 1 coherent story adventure. Boruto, however, will be separate. (It's not Boruto)

@**ToyDemon** Could you tell us which platform the game is on? Is the anime on shonen jump?
**ToyDemon** ( 8143 )
@FappyEnding
We can tell you that game specifically is not on PC. And yes the anime is a shonen jump anime.
@Papi
It is not H-anime.

Correcting hints so far,
Game is released after year 2000 and not PC platform.I guess releasing 2000 mean probably mean game released around year 2000 to late 2000.
But, If don't mind of asking another hint, can you specify brand and or genre of the game, becasue thousands of game been released after year 2000 and not much chances to guess it around with couple hundred participants.
As anime hints, also released after 2000 and it shonen jump anime.
This is fairly guessable but, can you give another hint? Can you give broad number of released episodes of anime?

@M Anime has been guessed correctly by someone already.
As for game, we meant it's released after year 2000, so 2000 - 2020, not late 2000.
We can give you another hint for the game. Developer is not from the US.

Now we will announce ToyDemon's favorite anime and game.
Anime: Hunter x Hunter (2011)
A few people put this as their favorite anime and we couldn't agree more. Anyone that has watched it would surely understand why it's our choice.
The characters are all so interesting. Hisoka, Chrollo, Killua, Gon, Kurapika, (Leorio is meh, lol) just to name a few.
The arcs from Hunter Exam all the way to Chimera Ants were all excellent, funny, intense and emotional (the election arc was alright....).
The balance of the powers behind Nen and all the cool abilities that came from it. You can never say one character will beat another character because of the abilities created with their Nen. It's not like DBZ's power level......
Personally speaking, till this day, I still have not watched anything that matched the emotional impact I got from watching the Gon vs. Pitou episode or Meruem and Komugi's last moment together. In addition to that, my wife also loves HxH and has cosplayed as Killua before! What's not to love about HxH!
To anyone that still has not watched HxH, it's on Netflix right now so go watch it, it's worth your time!
Game: Monster Hunter Tri (2009)
Yes, other MHs have come out and are better, especially MHW, but Monster Hunter Tri was our first ever MH game. We never played MH on PSP on Playstation prior to MHT. We had just started TD in 2008, and while still young and had plenty of time on our hands, we all looked for a game to play, when we saw MHT release on the Wii and it had 4 player co-op, we figure why not give it a shot.
At first we all felt the same as beginners playing MH, why is the movement so slow, why do I have to sheath to drink a potion?!? But since we already bought the game, we stayed with it. So one day we were all playing and we still remember this vividly, is that we were slowly getting used to the controls and getting better at the game, and we were on a quest to hunt down Qurupeco. We had hunted it a few times already and so it was getting pretty simple and we were kicking its ass and just messing around as it had became so easy when one of us called out, there's this big shadow over us, wth!?!?
A Rathian came out of nowhere and landed by us, Remember, we had never played MH before, and thus far we have been beating Great Jaggi and now Qurupeco, we had no idea what other monsters existed. We went from gloating about how we destroyed Qurupeco to panic mode to figure out what to do. We tried fighting it on and fainted 3 times and that was that. Mission failed....
To this day we still remember this moment fondly and joke about how fun it was and how anxious everyone became all of a sudden. We kept playing all the MH afterwards (one of us bought a Wii U just to play MH3U and a 3DS later just for MH4U and Generations.) Now with life happening and we all have family and kids we just couldn't find time to sit in front of TV and play MHW. We are still holding out hope for maybe MHW on Switch so we can get some quests in at work.
That's it, our favorite anime and game, thanks to everyone that participated!

@Papi Don't get me wrong, Naruto has a good story but the pacing of the anime kills it sometimes ,especially with all the filler, so the manga was way better. I had to stop watching one piece a few years back because they started padding the episodes with so much crap. Like the long song, plus so many recaps that you only end up with a few mins of actually new scenes. Anime has come a long way in terms of pacing and story. No more of that, "We only have 60 more episodes before namek aspoldes" lol.

@**ToyDemon** Yeesh. I'm a big geek when it comes to Movies, TV, Comics, Novels but I start to lose cred fast in the world of video games. I'm going to show my age here in that my heyday of playing video games was the cabinet arcade days and Atari/Early Nintendo. I got off this bandwagon by the mid-90s. Never got a N64, Playstation, Xbox etc. I have literally one friend in my current social circle who's still big into gaming (video gaming, I have lots of friends into RPG and Board games) and what little I know of modern gaming comes from him. So my guesses will likely be off but here goes.
I grew up on the typical Anime imports like Speed Racer, Battle of the Planets, Voltron, Akira and Robotech/Macross (and I'm well aware now many of these were heavily edited/tweaked or merged for the US market vs their Japanese originals). I remember Ghost in the Shell being a big deal when it hit limited theaters in the 90s. I had two friends HUGE into Anime/Japanese culture give me a crash course immersion into later 90s and early 00's Anime between '01 and '05. That's where I got exposed to things like Trigun, Evangelion, Berserker, Escaflowne, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, The Big O, Lupin III (and his many iterations), and more from the Studio Ghibli theatrical catalog. But as for Anime in the last 10-15 years... heard of/tried a few things but nothing's really grabbed me. Happy to hear recommendations there.
My game is cabinet arcade: Superman '88 and Console: Golgo 13 for Nintendo.
I prefer side scroll action games most. I love spies and superheroes. The Superman Game made best use of his powers and graphics (certainly at the time and from what I've seen of later Superman games things didn't improve much), it actually used the John Williams film score, and 2 player version involved a second Superman that due to color scheme looked suspiciously liked Captain Marvel/Shazam so I loved the idea of the two fighting together. Golgo 13 was the best James Bond game ever made (sadly without the Bond name attached). I have friends I know who will cry foul I am not picking the N64 Goldeneye, but again, I prefer side scroll to POV. I loved the fact I got to punch, shoot bad guys, assassinate leaders, bed women to regain points and do it all to a fairly snazzy Bondian score (for 80's Nintendo anyway). Both gave me the playable yet immersive experience of those worlds I wanted.
My anime is Cowboy Bebop. I understand this is one of the more 'westernized' anime, so maybe that's why. But I love the design, the characters, the music... and it generally tells nice tight 30 min stories with a good arc. Doesn't run too long just does what it does and drops the mike. Even the dubbed version is fairly good and I'm usually the guy who will opt for the subs.
TD's Game: Batman: Arkham Asylum. Of all the more recent games I've played I enjoyed this most for it's story and cinematic feel. Wish Superman had a game on par with this. I assume TD staff would at least appreciate this one even if it's not their favorite.
TD's anime: Attack on Titan. (Only because this is the one I've been most recommended recently- so shot in the dark).

Love your comments with great detail and explanation!
All the anime you listed are all quite great. Berserk, Evangelion, JoJo's are all great and loved by many of us here. Cowboy Bebop for me personally is something I couldn't quite get into, ironically mainly for the reasons you love them! I (speaking for myself not rest of TD) like anime that have a overall continuous flow, rather than short stories each episode, so I prefer shonen anime in general.
Though your favorite games are just a little bit ahead of my time, lol! One of my favorite arcade games was actually the old simpsons beat them up, that game was so much fun and the 4 player co-op (hint) was awesome.
Your TD guesses aren't that bad honestly, AoT season 1 was one of the best anime I have ever seen at the time, wish I could say the same about season 2 and 3 though....

My favorite game is Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii. Has everything I enjoy about a JRPG: great characters, engrossing story, fun battle system, and a phenomenal soundtrack (seriously, give it a listen).
My favorite anime is K-On. A lighthearted series with an endearing cast of characters whose friendships feels real and enjoyable to watch.

Favorite Game: Va-11 Hall-A - Probably the most immersive and relaxing game I've ever played. There's something that was extremely enjoyable about the game that I can't do it justice with my limited vocabulary. Highly recommended game but it plays more like a visual novel than a traditional game.
Favorite Anime: A Silent Voice - Don't know if this counts because it's a movie but I would say that it was the most enjoyable anime for me because of how down to earth it was for me. I would say the manga is much better but the OST of the movie is one that I come back to often.
Game Guess: Let's try Dishonored. Haven't seen someone say this one and it was an enjoyable game.
Anime Guess: I'm surprised I haven't seen Your Lie in April, so let's try that.

My favorite video game has to be Rachet&Clank (Up Your Arsenal). If I had to choose multiplayer, then CoD. I definitely had the most laughs on CoD with friends.
Favorite anime has to be Naruto. I wouldn't be considered a fan of anime, since I don't watch many. Although, Naruto has great arcs and storylines. The fillers are fun too. AoT is definitely close second with how emotional it is.
TD's favorite video game has to be Super Smash Bros Brawl. It has a cute factor, a testosterone factor, and you can have the entire staff play at the same time.
Favorite anime is harder, but if I had to guess, maybe Dragon Ball Z?

AoT season 1 was one of my top 3 back when I first watched it, but season 2 couldn't keep my interest.
As for Smash Brawl, TD's favorite Smash is actually Super Smash Bros on N64! We played this so much through college and still do from time to time in the office. It's never a dull moment when we play this. However, the 64 controller stick at this point is so bad that anytime someone loses, they blame it on the control stick, lol.

Favorite Anime: Girls Last Tour
Girls Last Tour is a simple anime and I love it. The art style might not appeal everyone but tkmz-sensei became my favorite mangaka after watching it. His simple art style inspired me to draw the same way simple but meaningful. As for the story, it about two girls roaming around a post apocalyptic world with the goal of going to the top. No need for complicated stuff. I can't really explain how much I love this series since it change me outlook in life which is why it became my favorite anime. I just like simple things and how the story is relaxing.
Favorite Game: Monster Hunter Series
I was debating on other games like Steins;Gate (Including Zero), Persona 3 FES and Monster Hunter series, MH takes the cake for me. MHFU and MHP3rd are heavy influences on my life and these games are super fun to play with friends. Replay value of this game is high and no matter how good you are you'll still die with a single mistake. The phase of the hunt and the rhythm of the monster this balance of the game makes it fun to do over and over. Right now I'm trying to 100% MHGU with friends and we have great times when we start playing.

Mine: Final Fantasy Tactics, Shirobako.
FFT has an incredible, mature story of political intrigue and religious corruption. The gameplay is quite deep and there's a ton of variety. The initial playthrough can be fairly challenging before you realize all the broken strategies and there are so many self-imposed challenges to try. I played multiplayer on the Internet for a long time back in the day and am still friends with some of the people in that niche community of ours.
Shirobako is a realistic if not idealized look into the guts of the anime industry. It's great as a documentary of sorts for those interested in learning about how the industry operates and it's great for anime veterans because the show is jam-packed with references to real-life industry people and studios. As a young adult struggling in his career, I also greatly identified with the main characters and their unique struggles in chasing their dreams. Very wholesome show.
TD's faves?: Operating off the given hints to date, plus a couple of other assumptions... I'll go with Mario Kart 8 and Death Note.

I like the anime high school dxd because it has a great story and a quality amount of fan service. I also like high school of the dead because of the same reasons as high school dxd. I have a fetish for school uniforms so I guess that’s why I’m fond to school anime. Lol
I think the TD staff likes anime such as high school dxd and high school of the dead for their fan service and story. Who wouldn’t like it lmao.

I mainly play retro indie games and don't play much at all lately, but a few of my favorites that I've played recently are Iconoclasts and Guacamelee 1/2. I watch a shit ton of anime so I'll just limit it to my two favorite shows airing this season which are Princess Connect! Re:Dive and Gleipnir. Argh, I hate trying to narrow down what stuff is my favorite.
I'm gonna guess that your favorite anime is Konosuba and your favorite game is NieR:Automata.

1.) My Favorites:
-Anime: Made in Abyss
- It's just a really great fantastical adventure series that becomes a lot darker than what the art style and thumbnail would suggest. Absolutely loved the world building in the show, and the background arts are absolutely magical. The Art Director for Made in Abyss (Osamu Masuyama) worked as the Background Artist for <Your Name> a bunch of Ghibli Films (Howl's Moving Castle, Ponyo, Spirited Away, etc.). The music is so fitting and ethereal for such a great fantasy series. Props and Respect to (Kevin Penkin) for some awesome soundtracks. Getting carried away, but bottom line is that I really love Made In Abyss
- Game: League of Legends
-Have a love/ hate relationship with this game, but I always find myself coming back to it. I still remember when I first started playing and how fun it was to learn what each character did. I would always be learning something and those moments are ones that I think fondly of.
2.) My Guesses:
-TD's Favorite Anime: I'll say Cowboy Bepop.
-I'm guessing you guys are in your early or late 30s. It's definitely before my time, but I heard it was one of the best of the older anime. Definitely on my watchlist though.
-TD's Favorite Game: It's a shot in the dark, but I'll say Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

My game: The Legend of Dragoon: Everything about this game is a 10/10 to me. I could write a 30 page paper on all the reasons I love this game, but ill try to keep it short. The soundtrack doesn't have a single bad song on it. All of the characters are lovable and they all come together organically. The story feels like a fantastical DnD adventure with one of the best video game "surprise/plot twists" in the very first disc of the game(there is 4 discs). The game world just feels real, it has a similar feel to final fantasy 9. The combat system is turned based with a tempo/timing system on every attack. I think iv played and beat this game at least once every 4 years or so every since I first played it as a kid in 2003.
My anime: Neon Genesis Evangelion: Shinji's Personal growth and development throughout the story is without a doubt the best character development I have seen thus far from any anime. The introspective approach they used at the end of the anime was a perfect conclusion, and the movie makes it even better.
That said ^ Generally speaking I like manga way more than anime. If Houseki no Kuni (Land of the Lustrous) ever gets a complete adaption into an anime then that will replace Evangelion easily.
I feel like it's easier for a group of people to agree on newer stuff as their collective favorites so i'm gonna guess newer stuff.
TD's Game: Persona 5: Who hasn't played this absolute 10/10 diamond yet?
TD's anime: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba because it's one of the highest quality most accessible shonen jump anime in recent years (there isn't 1000 episodes so most people have probably seen it)

There are so many games out there that I can't simply just choose one to be my favorite, but one that I keep going back to is Metal Slug XX. I still think to this day that the Metal Slug series has some of the best spritework in the business. I really wish they would make a new (non-mobile) one, but I understand that good spritework is stupidly expensive and almost put SNK out of commission twice.
Anime is the same—too many to choose from to pinpoint my exact favorite, but one that I keep thinking back to is Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu. I didn't know I would ever get into a series where 99% of it consists of people telling stories on a stage and people simply talking to each other.
Now for ToyDemon's favorite game... I'm gonna say F-Zero GX. I don't know why. I just feel it.
And for their Anime... probably Attack on Titan.

My game is Golden Eye (N64) - because I love FPS games ever my high school days and I was damn good at Golden Eyes.....and then I met this damn asshole kid in college that said he was also real good at the game. Yeeeea Right i thought to myself, so we played the Vs. mode and that was the last time I ever played it..that kid ruined all the good memories of golden eye for me...could you ever imagine someone with aimbot-like skills on the N64 console!?!? anyways..after that I've moved on to playing Day of Defeat: Source even till this day but GE will always have a special place in my heart.
My anime is KINGDOM - because any 3 Kingdom story is always a good read / watch especially when it's got a inspirational story about a kid having a dream of becoming the Commander and working and fighting his way up to achieving that goal. Many parts of Kingdom have been so epic and is one that I'm constantly following. One Piece is also a good series but the story line feels way drag so I stop following it years ago.
TD's Game: Rocket League, feels like this would be a good and exciting game for gatherings

Favorite game probably Tales of Symphonia, favorite anime is probably Hellsing (TV, not Ultimate). Favorite anime is hard for me because I have different ones depending upon the type. For example for ongoing anime/manga my favorite is Jojos, and my favorite anime movie is Castle Cagliostro.
TD's "favorite" game: League of Legends :^ )
TD's actual favorite game: Monster Hunter World
TD's favorite anime: To Love Ru
