UNM's First Sex Week - Sex Ed 101

University of New Mexico has just had their first ever "Sex Week". This Sex Week is designed to reduce sexual violence on campus through education about healthy relationships and educating the individual on skills that will lead them to a more powerful self and better life. This all sounds great but some are opposed to the Sex Week because of what is actually being taught. Some of the names from the classes and lectures includes "How to be a Gentleman AND Get Laid", "O-Face Oral", "BJs and Beyond", and "Negotiating successful threesomes". The university at first said that they were looking at attendance to see if they will have a Sex Week again next year but really we think students will have no trouble showing up for these lectures. Unfortunately after conservative students' growing complaints and other groups pointing out the university violated its own speech code, the University of New Mexico apologized for "inclusion of topics that are sensational and controversial". So it looks like there won't be any more Sex Week next year. Anything that lessen sexual violence on campus is always great but do you think these lectures actually helped the cause?
